Hello, Pagebound friends!
I believe that books are co-created by the writer and the reader, and they're never the same book twice. I like to protect my reading experience by avoiding reviews until I've read the book myself and formed my own opinion, and I write my reviews in the same spirit: they're not intended to persuade anyone to read/not read anything. How you choose to engage with reviews is up to you, but be aware my reviews may include (marked) spoilers. I do not include plot summaries or trigger warnings, since I prefer to let people manage their own needs/preferences around these.
What else to expect from my reviews: I don't have a consistent review style. One review may be a simple list of things I liked vs didn't like, another an essay-length spite-fueled rant; sometimes I don't feel able to express myself at all, I just throw some stars at it and go. Every book is different and so is the response it engenders! What I can consistently promise across all my reviews is:
