- mom, makayla, & i went shopping at the algonquin commons today.
- i used one of my aeropostale gift cards to buy two new white camis.
- i also got a pack of hoop earrings & a pack of diamond stud earrings from claire's.
- i got my cartilage pierced at claire's! :DD
- it was really a spur of the moment decision.
- we went to eat at cheeseburger in paradise & planned to go to claire's afterwards, so i said 'oh hey i could get my cartilage pierced.' so my mom said, 'do you have money?' i only had $5 bill & a $5 gift card.
- i had only once mentioned getting it pierced a few months earlier, so i guess it was no big deal.
- then in the car she mentioned how she liked nose piercings, but said she didn't have the right nose. i really don't either. kara thought that she was giving a hint. :P

- in english, we went to the library computer lab & we were supposed to make a title page for our research paper. so as abby & i watched, josh h. intentionally left the s off mrs, making it mr, to see if our teacher would notice when she checked over it. the first time she didn't, but after he fixed up the paper how she asked it to be, she saw it. hahah.
- i get a 95 on my math quiz just b/c i asked for help. it was so frustrating. but now it seems just so silly that i wouldn't think outside the box. (or circle, i should say. though you're really looking at the stuff inside the circle... ah well, you get the point!)
- taylor writing 'weird animals, abnormalities, & mutations' as results of inbreeding in her biology packet. i literally lol'd! xDD

- it's the second friday the 13th in a row!
- last day of swimming... until next year.
- in spanish, we were learning how they have very long names, so we tried to make our own. when one sophomore was thinking about who she would 'marry' & our teacher said, 'how about edward from twilight?' i immediately looked over at taylor & she was like 'OME.' later, when taylor got her full spanish name written on the board, she 'married' taylor lautner. OF COURSE! ;D
- when we were in biology taking notes about 'niche' & how it means ?. so as an example, my teacher says, 'it's like trying to speak w/ a british accent when you're not british.' :D
- then soon after, taylor said 'niche' & i said 'what'd you call me?' hehe.

- in study hall, cora started cracking up b/c she saw me shoving my face into my bag trying to find my one pencil that had lead. i admit, i must have looked pretty funny! :P
- in spanish, we were rolling a die to see what groups we were in for an adjective game. sarah & justin both rolled a 2, so they're like 'roll a 2, clarissa!' & i did! once it was taylor's turn to roll, she tried to get a 2 too. but instead the die rolled into her lap & she pulled it out saying '2!' john just turned to me & said 'bull****!' like in the 'yeah right!' way. lol, it was WAAAY too funny! xDD
- in biology, we did a lab that involved lynxes & hares w/ paper squares & a piece of cardboard. the objective was to 'capture/land on' as many hares as possible. so taylor, chris, & i said 'hungry hungry lynxes!'
- i had a random raahi hug at the end of the day, haha.
- changed my myspace & facebook photo.
- i am so happy now that my acoustic guitar has a stand! :D
- i watched the secret life of the american teenager on tv.
- i dislike it when they just leave you hanging at the end of the episode!

- it was such a nice day out that we walked two laps of the school's perimeter twice.
- at lunch, we were talking about last night's episode of the secret life of the american teenager. and dylan said that he was so bored or something that actually actually watched it! since the season finale is next monday, where she FINALLY has her baby, he suggested that we have a party. hahahah! you get right on that, dylan! ;D
- but i won't be home b/c i'll be in d.c., so i said to put me on skype. :P
- in spanish, we were in the computer lab & taylor was looking at the real names of celebrities. the funniest one was akon's real name. according to taylor it was, 'something something something lu lu lu something akon something.' haha.
- i was forced by my mom to take a 2 1/2 hr nap as soon as i got home b/c i felt terrible.
- i figured that my acoustic guitar needed a name while doing my geometry homework. & i officially decided on naming it pierre. (:
- pierre is the name of the lead vocalist in simple plan. he has a pretty sweet name, pierre bouvier!
- plus there was one photo of him posted on MSOA back in summer 2008 & this was the one with him holding an acoustic guitar. PERFECT.
- and then i remembered how i wanted a green bass & decided that when i get it, i'm gonna name it oliver. ollie, for short. (:

- we was DOMINATING in ultimate frisbee today in gym! i'd catch the frisbee every time it was tossed to me.

- i got so many compliments saying that i looked 'cute'. :P
- they gave me a goodie bag full of candy & gum saying, 'here's all the candy you weren't supposed to eat while having braces!' pfffft. i'm quite sure i had every single piece of candy in that bag WITH my braces on anyway.
- there was still an hr left before my spanish class started & i didn't really want to go back to school right away, so my mom & i went to subway for a bit.
- it kinda hurt to brush my teeth before bed! haha, now i'm brushing reaaally slowly & carefully.

- it's finally spring!
- since my lunch somehow disappeared, i had only brought my water bottle & $1.25 to lunch. so i only bought my cookie dough.
- i actually went to my locker to get my lunch, but didn't find it, so i grabbed my money anyway, went back ALL the way down the hall to my english class to see if i had accidentally stuffed my lunch in my bag & grabbed my water bottle, but i didn't. so i walked ALL the way back to my locker to check once more & still didn't see it. so i gave up & walked to lunch.
- before class started, taylor & i 'sneaked' to the back table & plopped down, hitting each other w/ our spanish posters. the sub eventually came over & said something about how he thought that we (the class) would be better behaved or something. idk, i wasn't really listening to him. but i thought it was pretty funny how he caught us.
- we watched 'gattaca' in biology today & a couple parts looked so familiar & i finally realized that i HAD seen it before. i just don't know where...
- i went to the charlie brown play at school with sierra.
- i thought it was a really cute play!
- my favorite part was when everyone had to sing, but they were all either goofing around or complaining about a pencil!
- afterwards, sierra & i were looking at the before & after pictures of the people who got their hair shaved for st. baldrick's day. there was a history teacher named mr. niemic, who had a HILARIOUS before picture! he was like, :D. nojoke. sierra & i were cracking up in the car b/c she took a picture of his before & after pictures on her phone! xDD

- my family & i took the metro down to washington, dc to see some monuments & memorials.
- we saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, world war II memorial, korean war veterans memorial, jefferson memorial, smithsonian museum, & the arlington national cemetary.
- today we walked about five miles around washington, dc.
- and MAN, do my feet hurt! D:
- flat feet, fake birkenstocks, & five miles of walking DO NOT go well together.
- we went to the little cafe near the lincoln memorial & since there were lots of little birds flying around and waiting for us to drop our food, one pooped on dad's pants! haha!
- i wanna learn how to play the guitar parts in 'liar is you' by elliot minor. it sounds amazing. <3
- we went to eat at BEYOND the border.
- it was really good, but i couldn't finish my double-stacked quesadillas since i helped finish two bowls of tostada chips. i ended up getting it packed up & now it's sitting in the room's refrigerator. maybe i'll eat it tomorrow.
- makayla & i went swimming in the hotel's pool afterwards.
- at first, i wasn't going to go in after realizing that there was only one towel left. but then i saw that there were two more unused towels on a couple of chairs.
- so i soaked in the very warm whirlpool spa for fifteen minutes and then makayla & i decided to go from the hot spa to the cold pool. AND YEAH IT WAS COLD. it felt like i jumped in ice cubes or something! i quickly ran to the spa & felt like needles were on my feet, ouch.
- all in all, it felt nice.
- my family & i took the metro down to washington, dc to see some monuments & memorials.
- 03/23/09
- today we're planning on going inside the washington monument & the national archives, plus many other museums, etc.
- so expect A LOT of walking, like yesterday.
- i'm in DESPERATE need of better walking shoes.
- we first stopped in the dining section of the hotel to grab a couple coffees. mine actually tasted alright since my mom made it for me. :P
- we headed down to washington, dc once again by the metro.
- we tried buying tickets for the washington monument, but they had been all sold out. i was surprised. people must get there really early!
- so we decided to see if the bureau of engraving and printing had available tickets. nope. once again, we would have needed to get there early.
- i got a very HOT chocolate & a bag of cheez-its from a side stand.
- they weren't kidding about the 'hot' part.
- my tongue is still hurting & burnt even as i'm typing this.
- we finally went to the national archives.
- there we first saw the magna carta created in 1215, but also known as from 1297. it was written in latin & it was written ridiculously tiny!
- soon after, we waited in a long line to see the three main documents; the bill of rights, the declaration of independence, & the constitution. i tried taking pictures, but they turned out pretty dark & blurry b/c i was rushing so i wouldn't create a fuss.
- they all appeared to be fading over time. you couldn't read a majority of the words!
- we stopped at the national gallery of art. it was boring imo. i just don't have that excitement to see paintings. not to mention, i was tired, hungry, & my feet were sore.
- after being in urgent need of energy, i quickly filled up with cheese fries & a vanilla milkshake at ben's chili bowl. it tasted SO good. did you know that the obamas & bill cosby have eaten there? yesss. they get free food too.
- we soon came back to our hotel room & immediately makayla wanted to go swimming. i told her to chill since i had a coffee to finish, but of course, that didn't happen. we eventually went swimming for an hr or so.
- today we're planning on going inside the washington monument & the national archives, plus many other museums, etc.

- today we woke up early to get to the capitol for our tour.
- there were a few school tours there, i assumed. one group had all white sweatshirts on & i said, 'well you couldn't lose anyone.' something along those lines.
- our tour guide turned out to also be from mchenry. haha, what a coincidence! he said that he went to east though. pshh, west is better. (;
- i can officially say that i've fallen asleep in the senate! nojoke. i was exhausted & it was toasty in there. but i got yelled at immediately. and my dad kept teasing me that i got yelled at for falling asleep!
- soon after, we walked through a tunnel that led us to the library of congress. we spent a good deal of time trying to figure out how to get into the library itself. or simply figure out where everything was. we weren't the only ones confused. but no worries, we finally found where the exhibits were.
- not to mention, i saw a pete wentz look-a-like there too! that was pretty cool. ;) i tried to get another glance, but eh, i figured i would get caught. haha.
- next we went on to find food, but no luck. we hadn't eaten anything since the night before, except coffees earlier. so we went into the smithsonian national air and space museum & immediately got food. two choices: boston market or mcdonald's. neither, thank you. but definitely not the latter. my mom & i settled on a sandwich from boston market, while my dad & makayla got mcdonald's.
- later we went back to the capitol to get a few pictures in front.

- my dad left around 6am this morning to get tickets for the washington monument & he finally did get them!
- since he was sixth in line, he was talking to the other guys around him & they said that they were also waiting for tickets while their wives & kids stayed back. haha.

- yesss. i tried something new today. the caramel latte. it was very gooood! :)
- once we got all the way to the top of the washington monument, i seriously felt so dizzy & like i was moving. i tried not to think about it, but that didn't help. i was so glad to be on land once we got off that elevator.
- but anyway, TALK ABOUT PERFECT TIMING. we had just gotten out of the washington monument when my dad noticed a special plane going by, so he said something about if it was the president. so we hurried down the hill on the side of the monument & was told to 'stay on the sidewalk!' by a policewoman. we watched motorcycles going by, cars, & eventually president obama! and my dad did get it on video too. i STILL haven't seen it yet! (03/30/09). so may have only been his head that was visible in the tinted window & he was looking out the other window at the white house, but HEY, IT'S STILL THE PRES. ;D
- according to my tweet: the president just passed by in a car. i am NOT kidding. my dad got it on video too. EEEP. according to my mom, 'we're SUCH tourists!' :)

- i realized that i had accidentally kept the blue key when i was in the gift shop of the gettysburg visitor center.
- we went to gettysburg & drove around to a cd that explained what everything was.
- practically EVERYTHING died out on me on the way home! luckily, it was late so i could sleep since there was nothing else to do in the dark. my cell had one battery bar left, my ipod died yesterday, my ds shut down on me while i was playing cooking mama, & my parents' laptop wasn't charging in the car charger so that shut down on me too while i was in the middle of a conversation with sierra! :(

- mcfly's very first single, FCIHH five yr anniversary! :DD
- i finally FORCED myself to get up early at 7.12am.
- i was originally going to get up at 6am, but once my alarm went off, i decided to set it an hr later so that it would at least be light outside.
- but when it went off, i was tired so i pressed snooze on my ihome for the first time!
- i learned that my snooze is 10min long.
- i took a six minute shower. thirty seconds less than yesterday.
- i found fifteen packs of rubberbands in my desk drawer. i'm sure i had LOADS more, but i must have thrown them away already. so i threw fourteen of them away, but kept one cos i'm just weird like that. 'remembering' my braces. :)
- i just changed my strings on my guitar for the first time & lemme tell you, getting whacked in the face with one is not fun.

- my dream: mh, yes him, was leaving for some reason (possibly australia? even though irl he was just there) & i waved him down so he came over. i gave him/he gave me a very embracing hug & said 'miss youuu!' and walked away. strange, i know. lol, maybe cos that's the part he sings in 'i miss you'? so later i'm walking with my family and i noticed that we were passing him, when he caught me & something along the lines of 'are you ignoring me?' then we took a picture with my cell phone which didn't work out too well b/c there were a lot of people rushing by & someone had called him so he wasn't looking. ah well. it was a very good dream. i liked the hug very much. :)
- it felt like i dreamed the first part yesterday night, but i really don't think i did.
- there was more to it afterwards. something about being backstage behind a curtain. eh idk. i can picture it in my head atm, but i can't really explain what was going on. too distant.
- it's still strange to think about. he's old enough to be my dad. :| omg, that just sounds wroooong. but i just felt the need to admit it.

- we were told to change seats in geometry and my teacher thought that the seats we chose were our original seats from the beginning of the year, when clearly i haven't sat on the opposite side of the room before! so we 'changed seats' again! :P
- nothing too too exciting in gym. we played knockout, which i wasn't too bad at. and i was a bit more talkative too. hah, i purposely put that last 'too' in. have enough 'too's'?!
- in history, we were given a number one to four for groups where we had to each draw a specific part of a smiley face in an assembly line. the second time we tried it, we weren't allowed to talk/laugh/smile. and when we were finished, paul tells me that i was talking so our teacher goes 'were you?' and i just nodded sarcastically. haha, but i think he really believed me. then not too long after, i hear a burst of laughing from paul's line & my name. i bugged him to tell me why they were laughing before class ended & he said that the one sophomore that supposedly likes me said 'she's into me.' or something pathetic like that. :/ funny, or not so funny, part is that at the beginning of the semester i swore he looked a bit like dougie. but now, ew. i guess 'forwardness' turns me off. :|

- in spanish, we were learning the colors & there was a mini debate near me of what color my NEON YELLOW hurley tee was. it's clearly neon yellow, NOT green. it may be a bit faded, but it's still yellow i tell you! it was definitely yellow when i bought it. seriously, people must be color-blind or something! john even grabbed my NEON GREEN folder & put it next to my shirt. yeah it's like, which one's green?!
- in bio, we were taking notes as usual & justin was having a laughing fit. he was laughing at everything. haha. i was like, 'are you okay?!' and he mentioned how he was two sections ahead in geometry or something & i was just like 'great for you'. he's like 'no need for sarcasm...' & pushed my desk. pffft, sarcasm is my life. :)
- in the last five minutes of bio, our teacher pulled out the cart of pigs in bags. :( sounds terrible, i know.
- that was when taylor & i mentioned to our bio teacher that starting today we were officially going to be PETA people. lol :P
- ortho appointment; nothing new besides the fact that i have to wear the positioner more. next one: makayla's birthday. hah.
- i found my other earring on the floor in the bathroom! no worries! :)

- i finished ALL my geometry hw in study hall for one of the first few times!
- in bio, we started the lab on our pigs. :( weren't not dissecting & cutting it open until next week. we named our pig snuffleupagus, snuffy for short. it's such a cute name for a pig were gonna tear apart! D:
- and i didn't see 'the sound of drums' on comcast on demand. hopefully they will put it on sometime.
- i seriously was up until 1am finishing my spanish project. obviously i wasn't working on it ALL night. i went downstairs into the library to find & take photos of photos to put on my poster, but i ended up LOOKING at photos & reminiscing.
