- Franny and Zooey, by JD Salinger
- To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee (and so began my crush on Mr. Gregory Peck.)
- Middlesex (oh, the pain I undertook to get past the first chapters, but worth it in the end!)
- Crime and Punishment-OH WAIT. THAT'S A JOKE. HAHAHAHAHA-just kidding, it's okay, Julia if you like it...
- The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, by Carson McCullers
- Catch-22, by Joseph Heller (as my good friend put it, "It was hilarious, it was ridiculous, an absolutely great book, and I hated it.")
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams (Okay, I'm a nerd, but it's hilarious. If you haven't read it...DO!)
- Howards End, by E.M. Forster <3
- The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair (I love me some vivid imagery, even if it involves a dude getting his arm stuck in a meat grinder.)
- Anything by Ray Bradbury (Nerrrrrrdddd.)
- The Harry Potter series. I love it, okay?! I've been reading it since 4th grade and the characters are so familiar and comfortable and funny and British and you just gotta deal.
- Silly Sally
