I really love the idea of doing a time capsule for my future children. Obviously I will start the time capsule when they are born, and I think giving to them to open up on their 21 birthday would give plenty of time to fill it up with neat stuff.Be sure to label everything.
- A picture of them at every birthday holding a sign saying how old they are, what they want to be when they grow up, and their main role model.
- A newspaper from the day they were born.
- An issue of People from the month they were born.
- An issue of a fashion magazine from the month they were born.
- A pacifier
- What they wore home from the hospital
- A pair of mittens and booties
- Their bracelet from the hospital
- My bracelet from the hospital
- Something her mother/father wore at the hospital
- A car catalog
- A calender from the year they were born. Keeping track of how they are doing each week. Also record things like due date and day born.
- A grocery bill
- A gas bill
- One of their birth announcement cards
- One of their baby shower invitations
- Cards from other people
- Toddler drawings and other projects
- A hand mold.
- Hand prints at ages 1,3,5,8,10,and 16
- A letter from me to them
- A letter from their mother/father to them.
- The shoes they took their first steps in
- A lock of hair from ages 1,5,10,and 15
- Week by week pregnancy shots.
- A shit ton of pictures
- A home movie of them doing something embarrassing
- Their first rattle
- The diary I wrote.
- (If I do pregnancy vlogs) A disc with all the vlogs on them
- Movie stubs
- Newborn pictures
- Their favorite childhood book
- Ballons (if any)
- Number candles, or any special candles used for birthdays
- A National Geographic from the month they were born.
- A Playgirl/boy magazine
- A copy of their baby book
- Ultrasound pictures
- Special things specific to the child
