AKA CURRENTLY IN A DOWNWARD SPIRAL INTO AN ABYSS OF FEELINGS OF INCOMPETENCE FAILURE ETC SO MANY REGRETS ETC REALLY NEED TO DO RESEARCH IN THE SUMMER ETC ETC FOREVER
- northeastern: there is an emphasis on world history! WORLD HISTORY! YAY! of the ~vanguard~ of bringing world history to the front! YAY!
- rice: why is your website so ugly though--also has an emphasis on relations between the u.s. and the world
- georgetown: overwhelmed by its website t b h
- northwestern: i don't really know about northwestern; it really depends on the faculty. but it doesn't require GRE scores (we all know that my GRE scores will suck) and it seems the most flexible--straight up--in terms of interdisciplinary plans of study
- boston college: ... SIX STUDENTS. SIX! SIX!!!!!1
- duke university
ALSO THESE ARE JUST REALLY FROM GLANCES, i have not actually really looked into faculty areas of expertise
i got too depressed looking into them but here are just other top page schools i would not get into:
- university of michigan ann arbor: note to self: esmeralda is--DO YOU REMEMBER SEEING HER RESUME? it is fucking flawless! no way bro
- new york university: i need to apply to one school in new york, so either here or columbia, but nyu seems just THAT bit more attainable, which is to say completely unattainable, but just less so
- university of north carolina chapel hill: i don't even know why?? maybe because sarah dessen mentions it ad nauseam and it is really gr8 and i always root for their ncaa team?
- university of chicago: because of REASONS! also, it's between this and northwestern for the chicago area. or something. maybe.
- berkeley: I TOLD MYSELF I WOULDN'T AND THE ODDS JUST SEEM BETTER JUST BECAUSE LOL 40/375 APPLICANTS LOOKS BETTER THAN 11/112 OR SOMETHING even though they're the same odds
