GODDAMN MAN THAT IS LIKE CHORUS AT NORTHWOOD IN A NUTSHELL. it was amazing. and from that moment on i knew..... EVEN IF THE MUSIC SUCKS AND IRL YOU DON'T SOUND LIKE THAT I WILL FORGIVE IT ALL, because that message (much more than the tagline that it's for the loser in all of us...) IS AWESOME. IS LIFE. IS BEAUTIFUL. IS ALL THAT I'VE HEARD IN THE LAST 4 YEARS AND MADE ME CRY AND MADE ME MISS CHORUS SO BAD DAMNIT.

• i just wish people like irene--my eleven homies, the amazing people i've known through northwood--i wish in the end (though it is impossible because it is hollywood, it is television, and the standards are fucked up and real talent doesn't really exist in the limelight)--could be showcased. could be in those positions and show the world how it REALLY is. because while this show is better than most, in the end, there's so much technology at work with the voices. SO MUCH. not even professional singers in musicals can be dancing and moving THAT MUCH and sound good THAT GOOD. it's just not possible. and it's ridiculous.
• but i suppose that if you took away the technological help no one would ever want to listen to the raw. to the occasionally ugly. such is life.
• BUT I MEAN, it's better. it's a LOT better than high school musical, but hsm is like.... lower than shit and glee is at least on a hill. for one, there's legitimately GOOD MUSIC, GOOD ACTORS, and GOOD TALENT.
• of course it can't be perfect. i get that. but still. the harmonies sound like they were played on a keyboard using the "chorus" option of sound. you could at least make it sound like they're people. singing. and no way, NO WAY can four singers sound like that in the background in "don't stop believing". at least make it plausible??!!!
• BUT SEE THINKING ABOUT THESE THINGS MAKES ME NOT LIKE IT, BUT I REALLY DO LIKE IT. REALLY.
• the other thing is that i HATE how it's like, the lowest thing on the social ladder. this is why i wish someone would do a show on COLLEGE KIDS. normal college kids who aren't held back by cliques and stereotypes anymore. i mean, again, i'm sure there will be a lot of depth and not so stereotypically portrayed characters in glee, but i HATE how being in a choir and glee club is just for losers. fuck you all! maybe it's just irvine where the arts are as appreciated as they are. yeah, it probably is. but it doesn't help when television portrays them as what is supposedly "the norm"...... OKAY WELL THEY HAVE "NORMAL" PEOPLE, SO I GUESS THAT FITS, BUT STILL.
• it would be kind of great if being in chorus was the greatest thing that could happen to you in high school. HAHAHAHAHHAHA.

IN THE END, THOUGH (and i think i had other complaints, but.... I'M JUST GONNA CHILL)--well played, well played. i'm really excited for the series and i'm going to be watching!! SO YAY!!!
