as i write this, today's high is 87 degrees because the planet is going to collapse upon itself, so a rough outline of things i'll need to be edited in a week:

clothes: last year i regretted not having non-sneaker, non-birkenstocks, but also regretted not having rainboots... why is this so hard... but let's make a goal of doing all-black everything (how things have changed from my 2015 list)

  • 60s: sweater or cardigan?? i don't have a great track record with these and still don't know how to layer my existing sweaters with predominantly black outfits; the cardigans are great layers in theory but really are functional only in california

  • 40s, etc.: turtlenecks (one heavy, one thin)

regarding the 40s: it is whatever temperature it will be when i leave/come back to nyc (upon leaving, 40s; i imagine in january unless it is a polar vortex day it'll be in the 30s, but yesterday on our first snow day i was overheating with the short puffer, big turtleneck, and flannel. also i don't get in until late so will take a taxi anyway)
