• 01x10 the pineapple incident : this episode showed a really good way of story telling. and the story of the pineapple is legendary and i hope they don't ever finish it. turn up turn up.
• 01x18 nothing good happens after 2AM : an awesome lesson worth following (from first hand experience). the episode had a really awesome twist with a really good way of telling us it.
• 02x09 slap bet : introduction to two of the show's best running gags: the slap bet and robin sparkles. classic.
• 03x16 sandcastles in the sand : a good reminder of where barney and robin started from. and honestly, simon is probably one of my favorite special guests on himym.
• 04x02 the best burger in new york : provides the solution to the perfect cure to any angst: a good burger. this episode makes me crave burgers no matter what.
• 05x08 the playbook : one of the first episodes i've ever seen and it totally hooked me onto the show.
• 05x12 girls vs suits : 100th episode with stacy keibler, rachel bilson, and a musical number? yes.
• 06x14 last words : jason segel. enough said
• 07x10 tick tick tick... : hands down one of my favorite episodes. the epitome of what i feel encompasses himym as a genre. blend of exaggerated comedy and intense drama which is broken by comedy, and then repaired by drama.
• 08x01 farhampton : my favorite season premier. and it was simply because of klaus' (thomas lennon) speech at the end of the episode. the whole scene was just perfect along with "the funeral" by band of horses
• 08x14 p.s. i love you : i love canadian based episodes, but of all of them, this is probably my favorite.
• 08x20 the time travellers : just another great episode reminding ted of where he was in life. features an amazing monologue by him at the end of the episode. i think it's very overlooked.
• 09x08 the lighthouse : anna camp is too damn pretty. it's always powerful to see the vulnerable side of robin and this episode portrays that so well. and the proposal at the end, omg.
• 09x17 sunrise : the barney story of this episode is absolutely sweet and it's one of the few that make me realize that the show is ending. idk if i can forgive robin for floating away.
