- Q: What does the name "ToppDogg" mean?
- A: The name 'ToppDogg' was given to the group by their former CEO ChoPD with the meaning "The Top Winner". Member B-Joo recently stated that the group name refers to the fact that the boys hope to become the "Top(p)" in music.
- Q: Is ToppDogg under Stardom Entertainment or Hunus Entertainment?
- ToppDogg debuted under Stardom Entertainment in 2014. In 2015, Stardom Entertainment merged with Hunus Entertainment and was eventually acquired by Hunus Entertainment all together. Stardom Entertainment no longer exists, therefore ToppDogg is under Hunus Entertainment.
- Q: What happened to Seogoong, Kidoh & Gohn?
- All 3 members chose to leave the group for personal reasons. Seogoong was on a hiatus from the groups promotions due to an injury for quite a few months before his departure was announced in January of 2015. It was stated that he would be joining the sub-unit "UnderDogg" (which I will explain later). He has since left Hunus Entertainment and is supposedly set to debut as a solo artist under the name I'm (pronounced just as "I'm", not "I am") in September 2016. Kidoh and Gohn chose to leave the company at the same time and their departure was announced in early October of 2015. Kidoh was working on solo music and as a producer before being caught up in a marijuana scandal while vacationing in Thailand. Kidoh was prosecuted without detention (he was not arrested and put in jail) and in the future will be attending court on the matter. As for Gohn, he enlisted to swerve his mandatory 2 year military service and is set to be released in the fall of 2017. He mentioned hoping to pursue a solo career once he returns.
- Q: Why does ToppDogg receive so much hate?
- A: Every idol group experiences hatred, unfortunately. However, ToppDogg's likely stems most from their past ties to Stardom Entertainment.
- Q: Why does their company receive so much hate?
- A: Stardom Entertainment was a horrible company, I will not deny that. The company has been known for having many financial scandals in the past. There have also been problems with the staff. There was also the whole scandal that unfolded between Block B when they were under Stardom back in 2013. The members filed a lawsuit to have their contract dissolved because of unfair pay and mistreatment. You can read about that on your own if you'd like, as there's too much to go into here. There was also a former Stardom trainee who left the company as he said he was physically and emotionally abused by staff at the company. However, it is a shame that Hunus Entertainment receives this same backlash. People still seem to consider Stardom and Hunus to be the same company just with a new name and that is FALSE. Very few Stardom staff stuck around after the merge, so a lot of the staff at Hunus is all new to ToppDogg. Despite their long hiatus, Hunus has been treating ToppDogg very well in comparison to how Stardom once treated them. ToppDogg is Hunus' first musical artist as they formerly only dealt with actors, but they are slowly learning and trying to do their best for the boys. B-Joo has even stated in his own words that "Hunus treats them better, gives them musical freedom, freedom to do solo work and freedom to interact with their fans whenever they want." Hunus Entertainment is NOT Stardom Entertainment so people need to stop seeing them as the same company.
- Q: What are these "sub-units" and who is in them?
- A: When ToppDogg first debuted, they were introduced in "fantasy units" or "kingdoms", those being: Lion, Wizard, Dragon and Knight. Fans were initially lead to believe in the beginning that in the future ToppDogg would promote in these units however the only unit to do work together was the Wizards when they traveled to Australia for a dance workshop. Allow me to introduce them:

This is the Wizard unit. In this unit is B-Joo, Xero, Hansol and Hojoon. These are the members who specialize in performances (dance). Hansol mentioned that they are called the Wizards because much like 'real' wizards, the boys are able to show a lot of colors. Wizards are able to display various things such as water, fire, etc. and these 4 members are able to show diverse genres just like that.
This is the Lion unit. In this unit there used to be Seogoong, Gohn, Yano and Jenissi. Since Seogoong and Gohn have chosen to leave the group, only Yano and Jenissi remain in this unit. Much like real lions, these members are able to show a strong and dependable image, while still being fun and carefree.
This is the Knight unit. In this unit there used to be Nakta, A-Tom and Kidoh but since Kidoh's departure from the group, only Nakta and A-Tom remain. This unit was one who displayed noble and gentle personalities. Their image is not as 'loud' as the other units and are considered most 'human-like'.
This is the Dragon unit, and in it is P-Goon and Sangdo. Sangdo was placed in this unit due to his strong and exotic appearance. P-Goon was ultimately placed in this unit as well due to his dark complexion at the time of the groups debut because (as sensitive of a topic as it is) it made him seem almost foreign and exotic to Korea's standard of beauty.
- Q: What or who is UnderDogg?
- A: UnderDogg was an 'unofficial' ToppDogg sub-unit. I say unofficial only because they were constantly tied to ToppDogg in many ways, with some of the rumored members even appearing in their album photobooks and some accompanying them during their Chinese promotions, however the UnderDogg members were NOT ToppDogg members, they were not officially part of the group. They were a unit of their own under Stardom Entertainment until the company merged with Hunus Entertainment. UnderDogg no longer exists. UnderDogg is the sub-unit Seogoong reportedly joined following his departure from ToppDogg, but I will not include him in this list as I have already posted his profile. Though the full UnderDogg lineup was never revealed, here were the members who appeared in some of ToppDogg's photobooks and/or toured with ToppDogg while they were in China:

This is Andy Zheng. He goes by Andy, or AK47Andy. He is Chinese and he is a rapper. Andy was rumored to be part of the ToppDogg lineup before the boys debuted. He now has his own solo career.
This is Han Jiwon. His stage name was Jiwon. He was formerly part of the boy group Mr.Mr and was a rapper. Jiwon studied abroad and therefore speaks English well. These days he has been doing a lot of modeling.
This is Jung Hyeontae. His stage name was Hyeontae. You may have seen him around more than the others as he is still close friends with some of the members, namely Hansol. Hyeontae was previously in the group BEATWIN and was a vocalist.
This is Cavan Chen and he is Chinese. He went by Leon while he was involved with UnderDogg. He would likely have been a vocalist. While in Stardom Entertainment, Cavan unfortunately was the victim of mistreatment and racism and due to this he chose to leave the company. He has since debuted as part of the Chinese duo ReVe.
- Q: Who was in ToppDogg-G?
- A: ToppDogg-G(lobal) was a sub-unit that only promoted during ToppDogg's Chinese promotions back in 2014. This unit consisted of: Seogoong, Sangdo, Nakta, Jiwon and Hyeontae. You know ToppDogg's song 'Emotion'? The song was actually first performed in Chinese by ToppDogg-G back in 2014 before its Korean release on ToppDogg's 2015 The Beat album!
- Q: Do any of the members have girlfriends?
- A: As I do not know any of the members personally nor do I know every detail of their personal lives, I can nt answer this with total confidence. However, I don't think any of the members are currently dating. They all seem t be "married to their music" right now. However, I would expect ToppKlass to be loving and supportive of the boys if and when they are in relationships :)
- Q: Do any of the members have siblings?
- A: Yes! All 10 current members and 3 previous members all have one or more siblings!
- Jenissi: older sister
- P-Goon: younger sister. His sister is Park Sehee, member of the upcoming girl group Bulldok and former Produce 101 participant. This is Sehee:

- Seogoong: younger sister. Her name is Jisu and here is a photo of her and Seogoong:
- Gohn: older brother
- Hojoon: two older sisters
- Kidoh: younger sister
- Sangdo: older sister
- Nakta: older sister
- Hansol: older sister. Here is a photo of Hansol and his sister together:
- B-Joo: younger sister
- Xero: older sister. Her name is Sarang and here is a photo of her:

- A-Tom: younger brother
- Yano: older sister
- Q: Where can I purchase ToppDogg's albums? Merch?
- A: It can be hard to find many of ToppDogg's albums these days as many websites are sold out and claim that there will be no more copies made that they will be able to sell. You can check these websites to see if any albums are still available that you're interested in:
- Q: Is Hansol dating Say from EvoL?
- A: No, Hansol is not dating Say. As of right now, the two even find it hard to stay in contact as they are both busy with things of their own. Hansol and Say are very close friends, but that's where the line is currently drawn. Have they dated in the past? That I can not answer as I have mentioned before, I don't know every detail of their personal lives.
- Q: Who is "Snoopy Swaggy"? Who is "ML"?
- A: Snoopy Swaggy is the stage name that Yano used to go by before he debuted. ML is short for Mad Light and it was the name given to Hansol by Jenissi before the boys debuted. The only reason Hansol ended up just going by his real name instead of ML was because a lot of the other members already had "English style" names.
- Q: What does Winner's Mino have to do with ToppDogg?
- A: Mino was a former Stardom Entertainment trainee before joining YG Entertainment and debuting with Winner. Back when Mino was on Show Me The Money, he performed a rap that contained a diss towards the former Stardom Entertainment. It was believed to be targeted more at the company as a whole, but he did mention their artists specifically (Kidoh and Yano being two of those mentioned). You can read more on the subject here: http://onehallyu.com/topic/193474-mino-dissing-topp-dogg/
- Q: Is Sangdo a foreigner?
- A: No, Sangdo is not a foreigner.
- Q: Can you explain their stage names?
- A: Yes, of course! I will explain both the past and current members stage names.
- Jenissi: Jenissi comes from the Bible, it’s an abbreviation of 'Jehovah Nissi’. Through the meaning 'Jehovah is my flag’, it means 'victory’ and 'hope’.
- P-Goon: His name doesn’t have a particular meaning, it was a nickname he's had since he was young. P-Goon comes from my his last name Park and his gender (T/N: “-goon” is a suffix attached to male name).
- Hojoon: He uses his real name which also means 'possessing a lot of talent'.
- Sangdo: Before (and right after) ToppDogg's debut, Sangdo had a 'foreign' appearance and so he didn't want to have a 'foreign' sounding stage name so he just went with his real name.
- Nakta: Nakta means camel in Korean and he uses this as his stage name because he slightly resembles a camel. It's been his nickname since he was young.
- Hansol: Hansol chose to go by his real name because a lot of the other members already had English-style names.
- B-Joo: Everyone thinks the B-joo/biju comes from the word ‘visual/bijueol’, he uses this stage name because his real name is ByungJoo. The B comes from Byung and it becomes B-Joo. It also has an alternate meaning: "Be With You.
- Xero: His stage name means to be the #0 rank in everything, as zero comes before one, therefore making it even greater than #1.
- A-Tom: A-Tom wishes to show fans a colossal rap that is like an atomic bomb.
- Yano: His name means "Yano about me?" (do you know me?) and he chose to use this as his stage name in hopes that everyone will one day know his name.
- Seogoong: Seogoong means a person who is as high as the sky and who unfolds a majestic dream.
- Gohn: His name comes from the word ‘gone’ as in ‘gone drunk for music’.
- Kidoh: Since his underground days, he's been using Kidoh which was made by combining ‘Kid’, like a young child and the exclamation 'Oh’.
- Q: Do you know things like the members ideal types, favorite foods, colors, etc.?
- A: It would be far too much for me to explain all of this in one answer, so I recommend checking out ToppDogg's video and text interviews to find out a lot of these kinds of questions that the boys have answered! You can find several English subbed interviews from the boys on Youtube, and for all of the Korean sit-down interviews the boys have done, please check here: http://toppdoggintl.tumblr.com/tagged/t%3Ainterview
- Q: When will ToppDogg come back?
- A: Sangdo mentioned in a fancafe chat that the boys would be coming back in the fall after the Olympics had ended. The Olympics have since come to an end and the boys are relatively inactive on social media so it is likely that they are preparing for their comeback now. I don't know any official dates but please be patient, they will be back soon! (I will likely remove this question from my FAQ once the boys have come back)
- Q: Will ToppDogg tour in (-country name-)?
- A: As I am not affiliated with ToppDogg or Hunus Entertainment directly, I can not accurately answer this question. For up to date content, please be sure you're following my Instagram account (toppdogg1024) as I will update ToppKlass on any future concert/appearance details there!
- Q: What are some of the shows ToppDogg has done?
- A: ToppDogg has done a few shows! Here is a list of them:
- Q: How can I join ToppDogg's fancafe?
- A: You must first make a Daum account and then join the fancafe. Here is a tutorial, but DO NOT follow the level-up part of this tutorial as it has changed. Once you've created a Daum account and have joined, to see certain posts and photos you must level up. Check here to do so: http://toppdoggintl.tumblr.com/post/114578699694/updated-fancafe-level-up-tutorial If you have any questions, please ask them here, but you must do it OFF of anonymous (you must have an accout and ask showing your account name, not on anon, or we will not be able to privately answer your questions): http://toppdoggintl.tumblr.com/ask
- Q: Do the members have any tattoos?
- A: Yes! P-Goon, Jenissi and B-Joo have tattoos! Hansol may also have one, though it has not been confirmed.

These are Jenissi's tattoos. He has a small star on his ankle as one of them, however I do not know the meaning of it. He also has two tattoos on his arms, a tattoo on either one. His "Stop&Play" tattoo is after his first mixtape with the same title. The "Let Me Hit That" tattoo is a song by his favorite artist, August Alsina.
This is B-Joo's tattoo. It is above the elbow on his right arm. I do not know the meaning of this tattoo as he has never mentioned it.
This is P-Goon's tattoo. It's actually supposed to say 'Memento Mori' (which is essentially a reminder of morality, that we will all die one day so be sure to live your life to the fullest), however his tattoo is misspelled to say 'Momento Mori'.
This is Hansol's alleged tattoo. It is located on his lower back and is a butterfly. We're not even 100% sure this is a genuine tattoo and as he has not mentioned it, it remains nothing more than speculation. Hansol does have a soft spot in his heart for butterflies though!
- Q: Who is White Lion?
- A: White Lion (Whitelion_TK on Twitter) has not been active on social media as of late, however White Lion is seen as ToppDogg's mascot, like a personal pet of ToppDogg's who is always around and knows the boys every move in a sense. It is believed that White Lion is run by a staff member, but it's meant to be kept as a secret ;)
- Q: Which member speaks the best English?
- A: All of the members have a VERY BASIC understanding of the English language, however there are some members whose skill level is a bit higher than the others. In terms of speaking, Hansol, Yano and Sangdo would probably be the members who can speak and understand English the best. A-Tom, Hojoon and B-Joo also aren't too bad. Former member Kidoh was practically fluent in English as he had studied in Australia before debuting.
- Q: Where can I find translation of songs, interviews, Instagram post, Tweets, etc.?
- A: You can of course find a large portion of translated Tweets, Instagram posts, Facebook posts, Weibo posts, etc. on my Instagram account (www.instagram.com/toppdogg1024), but any posts that you would like to see translations to that you don't see on my account (such as song lyrics, interviews, posts from Twitter/IG that I do not post, etc.) you can always check either DoggOnTopp (twitter.com/DoggOnTopp) or the ToppDogg International blog (toppdoggintl.tumblr.com)!
- Q: Will you please translate _?
- A: I prefer if people would not ask me this specifically, as I am not the person who translates and subs all ToppDogg related content. I /do/ personally translate tweets and Instagram posts when I am able to or have the time to do so. Otherwise, translation and subs come from the ToppDogg International team. However, please do not harass them to translate content either. The team is small and works hard to translate and sub content for ToppKlass, but we must be patient.
- Q: Why does Hansol love butterflies so much?
- A: Just how there are things that you and I like, Hansol has mentioned really liking butterflies. He has never really said more than that, so that's where I will leave things so I do not assume anything incorrectly.
- Q: Where can I find ToppDogg's song lyrics?
- Q: Where are the members' hometowns?
- A: P-Goon, Jenissi, B-Joo and Yano are all from Seoul. Sangdo is from Incheon. Hojoon, Xero and A-Tom are from Gwangju. Hansol is from Busan. Nakta is from Daegu. As for the former members, Seogoong is from Seongnam and Kidoh and Gohn are also from Seoul.
- Q: Is it true that Yano lives alone?
- A: Yes and no. Yano does not live with the majority of the members at the "main" ToppDogg dorms, however he lives in a dorm with Sangdo and Nakta.
- Q: Why does ToppDogg have their own phones before their first official win?
- A: Some companies will not allow their artists the freedom to use their own cellphones until their "hardwork pays off" (they win their first award), however from what I know ToppDogg never had a 'ban' like this. It is all up to the companies and their preferences. Not all companies use this 'no phone' rule.
- Q: Does ToppDogg have a choreographer?
- A: I'm not sure if they have one set choreographer, however I do know that the boys work closely with Reflexjun of NEWE$T CREW.
- Q: I want to send ToppDogg/one of the members a gift/letter. Where do I send it to?
- A: If you would like to send a gift or letter to ToppDogg, send it here:

- If you would like to send a gift or letter to Kidoh, send it here:
There is currently no address to send Gohn or Seogoong gifts or letters. I will update this if and when that changes in the future.
