Prom is tonight! < Note from after prom: An amazing time was had by all, all the stress was worth the fun we had on the night! Photo is of me in my dress! >

• Stressful
  • My boyfriend broke up with me and I had to find a new date... But most of the obvious options had been taken!
  • Dates were switched and such to make sure everyone had someone to take.
  • One date pulled out because of work (even thought he had plenty of notice).
  • Finally I found a date that was excited to take me. However unfortunately a member of his family became very sick. He is still taking me, though.
  • I bought the dress from American website Fred Flare and when it arrived in Northern Ireland we were greeted with a load of import taxes that we (stupidly) did not expect.
  • It was very frustrating to find the shoes to match. Eventually my mum and I found pale pink ones from Dorothy Perkins.
• Exciting
  • Despite all the stressful stuff I am still really glad I decided to go.
  • I am able to have a fun night with my 6th year friends before they leave Donegal.
    • Seona before she leaves for Australia.
    • Shauna before she leaves for college in Galway.
  • Everyone is tweeting about it and it's getting hyped up.
  • The final preparations are being put in place right now.
    • My nails have been given their last coat of pink nail polish.
    • My hair has been washed and it's prepared for the hairdresser to jazz it up later.
    • My dress and accessories are lying on the floor ready to be thrown on when I come rushing back from the hairdressers.
