Fyodor Dostoevsky/Dazai Osamu (FyoZai)

note: please mind the tags when you click on the links, some are rated E for explicit.

Fyodor could not help but wonder if his relationship with Dazai was bound by god, or perhaps fate herself.

When Dazai found out he had a soulmate, he had never expected to meet him like this.

“Your mouth is prettiest when it’s shut,” Fyodor tells him with a smile.

Dazai has strong opinions on undead. Fyodor finds it amusing.

Northern wind swipes across the land.

Dazai is in Russia faster and quieter than the wind. No one notices until he gathers enough of himself to rasp against doors. A bar fight here, a rusty theft there, he rattles in his ribcage until he gets an address.

There is no hello as he pushes past the crooked open door.

Fyodor isn’t foolish enough to expect a goodbye.

"The alleys are ailing in this city, and a bullet fits a ribcage better than a heart.

Dazai and Fyodor are sleep crusts of an insomniac highway."

A canon divergent story follow up to my other canon divergent Fyozai. In which after a sniper and a chase, Dazai has an unexpected request to make.

Fyodor uses the book, then sets on a journey unlike any other.

"Saving humanity from itself still counts as being on the side that saves people right?"

Many ways lead to a bar in the middle of nowhere. Only one leads to Fyodor.

or: where Dazai went to Russia during his years on the road. It doesn't have a happy ending, he thinks. Not many get one. He certainly doesn't.

Children grow into adults, and some grow into monsters. Monsters cannot love.

(But if it were anyone else, it would come quite close.)

Dazai Osamu will kill the love of his life at twenty-three years old. It will be necessary.

He will not realize that it was ‘the love of his life’ until years later.

Dostoyevsky administers medical treatment. Everything goes about as well as you'd expect.

Fyodor visits Dazai's grave. He won, kind of. Dazai is there, kind of. They talk, kind of.

several months after the decay of angels case closes, Fyodor shows up at the agency seemingly out of the blue. He'd been thought dead.

Chuuya finds himself in the unfortunate position of witnessing Dazai meet Fyodor.

In which one Dazai Osamu, freshly out of the the port mafia with a dead best friend, reaches out to the closest person he has to an equal, for… comfort?

Before the bad omens and sensing any storms, there used to be faith and occasional worships. They were in Fyodor’s admiration of the instability that hovers above Dazai’s impulsive motivations, the cuts he draws on his fingertips and the prints on his neck he boasts. The preciseness of his erraticism is sacred, as fluid and changing as an unwritten future.
