I remember being first introduced to the idea of 35 mm film when I came across a short film series about sex and photography. A woman who saw the double sided view of taking photos as a begrudging mirror of herself and passion, seeing the man she used to love as a subject for her photographs but also the only subject. I was in love with the idea of a timeless art, a timeless snapshot. A woman who didn't know what she wanted, and yet knew exactly which camera made that most satisfying wind, the clicks that resounded in her heart as an unfettered hot coiled desire. I wanted to take pictures like her. To love like her, to enjoy sex like her.
