- Emergency Switch: A smooth, seamless switch that happens in a matter of seconds. Typically happens when a regular switch would be unsafe.
- Front Locked: A frontlocked alter is stuck in front, they cannot get out, nor can anyone else fronting with them and nobody who is not fronting can get in. They cannot hear any outside alters, but may be able to hear other frontlocked alters.
- Front Stuck: A frontstuck alter is stuck in front. They cannot get out, but others can get in and out. They may be able to hear other alters.
