- smolive (spain is top olive producer lol)
- armarouge (armarouge’s color palette matches spain, and it also reminds me of spain’s medieval past. More specifically the Crown of castile. The shape of armarouge’s armor also looks like a castle to me, I know it is a cannon but at first I really thought it was meant to be a castle)
- ceruledge (similar to armarouge, but the color palette doesn’t really match x)... This pokemon is dedicated to fighting and has a more swift fighting style with looks to have less armory than armarouge. This is quite similar to the almogavars that served the many kingdoms of medieval spain. They’re known for their lifelong dedication to war and fighting in the front with only light arm and baggage)
- oricorio, baile (the name of the variant baile, means dance in spanish. In spain a very popular dance is flamenco. The color palette and layered look to the design looks like the typical flamenco dress, and it also has the little earrings and head accessory you’d typically see from the dancers)
- nacli (nacli is a salt rock. It’s a pokemon that has existed in paldea since ancient times. There is also one the oldest salt valleys in the real world which is in Añana of Basque region. It dates from 7000+ years ago or the neolithic period)
- fuecoco (reason for this is kinda stupid, fuecoco is laid back and does things at its own pace. It enjoys eating, and it will rush towards any food it sees. In all of its evolution forms, it seriously loves to sleep, so I think spain will love hanging out with fuecoco… I also see from sources saying it’s a pepper, maybe based on piquillo from navarra)
- applin/flapple (this is mainly because catalonia produces the most apples *in spain* but also because catalonia has a lot of dragon elements in its culture, mainly seen with Barcelona lol)
I think Spain would just be a normal civilian, maybe those people who sell things at a market?? Retailer, trader, whatever in that area
