• basic, not very sweet pancake
  • korean fishcake side dish thing i have made this every time using substitutions for assorted ingredients buuut i enjoyed it every time too
  • honey skillet cornbread made this for a dinner party at my parents and people seemed to like it
  • spiced gingerbread loaf this had a tendency to stick to the roof of my mouth as i ate, but i loved that it had black pepper in it lol
  • lemon poppyseed buttermilk cake the recipe doesn't call for lemon zest but i do zest a lemon and rub it into the sugar before i cream it with butter. also, very wet batter and the baked result is buttery/damp, but like in a pleasant way lol. but i would like something less buttery perhaps
  • kakaolu islak kek okay another very damp cake. admittedly, it's in the name, AND i modified the ingredients (swapped buttermilk in, changed baking powder with soda). i could taste a bit of metallic flavor, so maybe doing 100% soda was not the best. furthermore, it was SO wet in the middle, but somewhat brittle at the edges, i wonder if using a ceramic tart pan as opposed to something metal contributed to the fact. and also, i added powdered coffee and some crushed walnuts, that was good for flavor. i would like to mess around with this recipe some more! (OMG WAIT I MADE IT AT 350 INSTEAD OF 380, MAYBE THAT'S WHY!!!)
  • walnut cookies alright these girls were a little too dry, maybe i needed a bit more butter (they had 115, i had 113 g...?) but not bad. not too sweet, but in a way that's still enjoyable.
  • garlic chicken liver the garlic really should be raw. Mine ended up too wet because i had triple the amount of liver, pan was too crowded
  • lemony orzo salad w/mint parsley cucumber feta
