moments

- iced coffee, snow, paperbacks, notebooks, dreamy dusks, stifled laughter, friends and films and the feather-lightness of mild weather....
- new kate zambreno book in june !!!!! this is not a drill, ladies !!!!!
good things about the month
- babylon berlin season three; "du bist alles" on endless repeat; new (old) books in the mail; mid-afternoon lunches with justin, my favorite part of the day; bundling up for walks at all hours, admiring the snow as it sinks from the skies; iced coffees in the morning from joey's local coffee shop; the overture to a midsummer night's dream; prequel-era obi-wan; heart-shaped chocolates, a comfy sweater, justie, the vibrance of an early winter morning... a perfect kind of valentine's day; books on books on books; the colors of a winter dusk; glazed doughnuts with friends; a scattered mind set down in half a dozen notebooks; hours of focused research; lists of books, lists of poems, lists of writers; toasted blueberry bagels; sneezing fits over dusty novels; humming "it's a long way to tipperary" and thinking of ivor, who almost certainly sang it at the top of his lungs in 1917; coming home with arms full of books; rows of stamps pulled from envelopes and used as bookmarks; the brilliant dostoyevsky; a just-sweet-enough iced raspberry latte; walks in the mild weather; giggling over edmund's memoirs; portraits of the handsome aldous huxley; little notebooks; singing, always singing;
