THIS THIS THIS ! so weary of people thinking i have even the barest interest in the military/anything to do with military history. it's boring and extremely tedious and possibly the most uninteresting field of history in my opinion. when i study the world wars it's purely from a cultural historian's perspective like! tell me how the soldiers felt and how they interacted and how the devastation they experienced informed their relationships with one another. tell me about the letters they were writing home, tell me about the poetry they were writing on the inside cover of old books as they were being bombarded in the trenches. military history is SO exceedingly spiritless and anemic and men have such a strange fascination with it that annoys and worries me in equal measure. anyway stan wilfred owen stan the war poets
