one of the reasons i love patti so much is bc she makes me feel like it's ok to be just thoroughly and all-consumingly obsessed with writing.... being an artist means being completely lost in your head most of the time, and it isn't always easy for friends and family to understand that.... anyway i see a lot of myself in her and it's such a comfort to be in such wonderful company !
