- buy a guide of the country\city you're going to visit. read it carefully and do a list of what you want to see, so you won't miss anything.
- research what's the weather like and prepare your luggage on the strength of it.
- dress up in layers. For example, if it's a lukewarm weather, don't just put on a sweater. put on a top, then a t-shirt, then a sweater.
- always bring with you an extra pack of basics (lingerie and socks), just in case.
- don't forget your digital camera, ITS CHARGER and your travel journal.
- before booking a room, research the cheaper places. in some countries the prices are crazy!
- if you're student, be careful to bring your student cart with you. you could have reductions on museum tickets and so on.
- leave some empty place in your luggage, for whatever you're going to buy during your journey.
- make sure you have credit on your cellphone
- put the keys in a safe place
- put on the luggage a tag with your name, address and country.
