- 6/1 watched the first snow through the windows at uni
- 10-11/1 two-day marathon of all 13 hours of out 1 at the bfi
- 16/1 went to the bfi imax after a full day of placement to meet park chan-wook at 11pm
- 19/1 did my first full day of teaching (cover). felt so nervous at the beginning and completely exhausted at the end of the day but the adrenaline kept me going.
- 20/1 made the last-minute decision to meet laura dern at the bfi, again after a full day of placement. it was david lynch’s birthday and she attended the screening wearing blue velvet.
- 29/1 attended a preview screening of my father’s shadow at the ritzy with we are parable
- 7/2 saw my favourite nolan (inception) at the bfi imax for the first time
- 13/2 my final day of placement in SE1. got lots of hugs and a gigantic card and shed a tear or two.
- 18/2 went to ham yard with the hopes of catching a glimpse of paul mccartney. didn’t see him but saw gracie abrams instead.
- 21/2 pre-baftas in full swing. met both of my best actress picks (renate and rose) within an hour of each other, then attended the national gallery nominees dinner.
- 22/2 post-baftas: missed damson idris by one minute, then got a group picture with patrick dempsey.
- 23/2 burberry show (tom blyth reunion)
- 24/2 met yerin ha at bfi
- 26/2 the bride premiere. met christian bale!
- 27/2 cillian at the bfi in second row
- 2/3 (failed) birmingham peaky blinders premiere
- 6/3 barry keoghan at phc. sarahxbarry reunion!
- 8/3 visited the cosprop exhibition at the fashion and textile museum. i’d had this one saved for months and forgot to plan a visit until the last day it was open. saw costumes from some favourites (emma 2020, little women).
- 9/3 started my week of SE2. very much a learning experience and i loved every second of it.
- 15/3 went into central for the sole purpose of watching nell mescal perform in trafalgar square for st. patrick’s day
- 18/3 sat and read in regent’s park after classes before walking home
- 19/3 visited the british library for the first time for a class. got myself a reader pass afterwards.
- 20/3 last day of proper classes. went to the ioe bar for drinks afterwards.
- 7/4 saw the tracey emin exhibition at the tate modern and nearly cried multiple times. walked around east london for a bit before going to the rio cinema to see a preview of california schemin’.
- 8/4 california schemin’ premiere. met samuel, seamus, amber, connor, and james. long time coming!
- 9/4 visited the tate britain to see turner and constable and the hurvin anderson exhibitions. had a very lovely time and quite a bit of museum fatigue by the end.
- 10/4 went into central after hearing of an euphoria screening and ended up bumping into james mcavoy in the middle of leicester square
- 12/4 the oliviers! absolute mess but met the two presenters i went for (ambika mod and monica barbaro).
- 14/4 first proper full day in SE3. the whole school went to a nearby park for the easter bonnet parade and who happens to be sat in the park but daisy edgar-jones herself. nearly had a heart attack trying to pretend i didn’t see her/know who she was.
