- the Bean Cup (Greenwood, Indiana)- were I go for my daily cup of joe. plus they have good food and a nice atmosphere.
- Shallo's (Greenwood, Indiana)- neighborhood bar, the oldest one in the county. decent food (love the fried mac and cheese appetizers) and a shitload of beer(Youngs Double Chocolate Stout ON tap).
- George and Dragon (Phoenix, Arizona)- nice English bar with a load, drunk atmosphere. I would go thereafter practice occasionally with friends.
- Ghini's (Tucson, Arizona)- A French Bistro that also serves alcohol. the Mojitos are fuckin' awesome and the breakfast food is great French provincial. Also does a good lunch and has an interesting type of drink where coffee, beer, or other alcohol is mixed with French energy powder,; chocolate, Vanilla, or Orange.
- Bumstead's (Tucson, Arizona)- a bar that makes great bloody Mary's, and the first place were I had a Micholada (half cheap, Mexican beer and half bloody mary). also try the fishbowl; alcohol and fruit that's been steeping in its own juices.
- Richard's Kitchen (Franklin, IN)- great local place downtown. small amounts of tables, great, varied, yet not overwhelming number of select dishes. few daily special appetizers and entrees. you know its still good when Richard still is in the Kitchen.
- Zimmam's (Tucson, AZ)- Good Ethiopian restaurant. First place that I ever had Injera bread. similar consistancy/look as Indian food yet with really different spices.
- Lindy's- A simple burger joint that has an eclectic mix of ingredients; Blue cheese crumbles, peanut butter, fried egg, Mac 'n cheese. The list goes on. had a decent selection of taps but had to redo them and has been selling simple cans of beer
- (Strange Brew Coffee House) [thestangebrew.net] After Bean Cup Closed while I was out of town I rediscovered this little place. col artwork, relaxed atmosphere. Run by a couple, Dan and Tony; who are also active in the Indianapolis Roller-derby scene, this palce also sells local artwork and knitting supplies, yup knitting supplies. I enjoy coming out around here and having a few of my favorite drinks i.e. turbo-coke (coke with cinnamon and coconut with a shot of expresso! Oh Joy!)
