  • That van with the "Ocean Loving Girls" sticker at the back.
  • Getting small golden earrings with the Cassiopeia star constellation.
  • Sitting on the balcony at the Sendlinger Tor cinema with Doris, Lexi and Lena. I love these ladies.
  • Eating Japanese food at Bentoya with Lena. Seeing Macbeth at the Residenztheater on the next day. That actor from Toni Erdmann starred in the play again and the moving stage was quite impressive. By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes!
  • Visiting the Schönheitengalerie in Schloss Nymphenburg. I never knew it was there! It's really interesting... King Ludwig I chose women from all classes, had them painted and opened a gallery of beauties for his people in the castle. Maybe I should have got the book after all. I bought one of the beauties' portraits on a postcard, Marianna Marchesa Florenzi. I just found out that she probably had an affair with the King. That might explain her knowing look on the portrait! Resting bitchface ftw.
  • Meeting Sarah Kuttner!
  • Still: that awesome Alnatura lentil stew.
  • Sabine helping me grade my artworks (I more or less paid her back with a theraphy session).
  • Learning a new word.
  • Be careful what you wish for: I said that I was tired of online dating and would like to get to know somebody "just like that" for once. On the next day, Nico's hand landed on my knee at Fabi's birthday party and stayed there. That was fast, universe! Can I order a tall, bearded nerd next time, please?
  • Shopping at Kaufland, a nice game night at Lena's place. Playing Krazy Words.
  • Fresh 'harlequin' tulips in many different colours.
  • My new Doc Martens boots. And Adidas Gazelle sneakers with CMYK stripes.
  • Seeing the Osterseen for the first time on a gloomy day. What a nice landscape.
  • Learning about one of Nicole's biggest dream: she wants to go to space so much that she would leave everything behind without hesitating, even her family. I'd have never expected that!
  • Lemon thyme.
  • A very sunny Thursday. Driving with the windows open, coming home earlier than usual. Sitting on the balcony in the bright sunshine with a glass of Lillet. Wearing no jacket but sunglasses, still not feeling cold, texting to all my friends that summer had arrived. The sunlight produced little rainbows on the floor through the window.
  • Sarah's big yellow birthday muffin with yellow candy as decoration. Tamara made waffles for me (with chocolate syrup and advocaat/raspberry jam). And I got a big slice of Claudia's salami-jalapeno pizza.
  • A pretty good new mixtape I listen to in the car.
  • Discovering Derrick C. Brown's poetry at a Rival Sons concert.
  • Pascal Fligg in Der Sturm at Munich Volkstheater. I'm in love.
  • Really good funk at ImportExport, dancing, getting along really well with Frank and learning some new things about our crazy friends.
  • Doing more and more brave things lately. The other day, I saw Marcus getting onto my tube train. The one I liked so much, the one who ghosted me consequently and succesfully. My heart immediately started to beat faster. I sat there the whole time, trying to come up with enough courage to talk to him. And I did (one stop before I had to get off anyway). I didn't go great, I made a bit of a fool of myself and he might even have laughed at me a little in the end, but I did it. And lived. And yet, that encounter gnawed at me for a few days after. / Calling off the rude man at a concert who booed and shouted at the support act. / Asking the random driver on my way home at a traffic light why he had just given me the finger. It wasn't even meant for me. Ha.
  • I love Saturdays. Making buttermilk pancakes and purple macarons, making plans, not getting up for a long time.
  • Using not two, not three, but four maxi cotton pads every evening to get all the dirt off. What a luxury. I use micellar water on two, eye make-up remover on one and Kiehl's Midnight Recovery oil on the other.
  • Vietnamese food. Papaya beef salad at Lucki's (with Lenobi / Yanexi) and Tofu Bun at Jack Glockenbach with Bibi.
  • Benyamin gave me flowers and chocolates because I had organised a tutor for him. Nice!
  • The first snowdrops in the backjard.
  • "Ich schmecke immer noch nach fruit juice." (Bilderbuch)
  • Girls season 6 episode 3. Hannah and Chuck Palmer, eh? I actually laughed out loud in the end. This was so good in the beginning, so hilarious in the end. (Also: the fact that Matthew Rhys, Zach Braff and Julian McMahon could totally be related.) Fun fact: there is a picture on the wall in Chuck's apartment that exactly depicts what you can see in the next room.
  • NASA announced that scientists in Chile have discovered a potentially habitable planetary system. Exciting!
  • Using Sabine's punching machine to cut out little English-Star tokens (with a unicorn) for my students.
  • I know, I often write about cutting things open, but I have another good one: cutting open the perfect avocado. Not too hard, not overripe yet. Yum.
  • Waking up at 4.30am and being on a productivity-high (I even repaired and cleaned my SHOES. I took care of all my paperwork. I recycled my empty glass and plastic bottles. I went to bed at 10:30pm like a normal human being and woke up with the sunrise the next day. What is going on?!)
stepanini
