I believe I have found a solution, or perhaps a painkiller to most suffering in one’s life. It has helped ease a lot of my life’s suffering throughout the years I have stumbled upon this philosophy. It is the practice of utilizing acceptance and a positive outlook on the situation at hand that may help one overcome various issues. Both need to be practiced over and over again in order for it to create lasting change in the quality of your life. For example, if you love this person but they don’t love you back, there are so many negative emotions associated with being in a situation like that. If you really have no hope of them reciprocating your feelings, then it is time to move on. But how? First, you must start with accepting the situation as it is. It is what it is, and there’s nothing you can do to change it. You have to let it be. This would already ease a lot of the emotional discomfort experienced. However, you don’t want to just accept it and become hopeless. That’s where the positive outlook comes in to play. You must then have hope that it will not always be this way, that this was meant to happen for the better, that you will find someone even more amazing that will reciprocate your feelings, etc. Having faith in the future and finding the positives in what you can’t change is key in this step. I have found this philosophy to be very helpful in my life. This practice may not completely work in every situation, but I think it can help in most. And it is definitely easier said than done to implement, but I do believe it is very worthwhile to do so.
