How doth the little crocodile... by Lewis Carroll

How doth the little crocodile...

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

If I could live in my dreams and never wake up, I would.

  • Tonight,
  • as I cleaned you up,
  • I once again felt the same hole in my soul.
  • This small space seems to be unfillable,
  • and every time I see you broken up or in ruins,
  • like a blackhole,
  • that space sucks me in and traps my breath.
  • Like a firefly,
  • trapped in a box,
  • you might not see it,
  • but I'll still try my best to keep my light,
  • to be there for you.
  • So please,
  • promise me you would not abandon me.
  • that you'll be there for me when I need you.
  • Cause I love you,
  • and I hope you love me too.
