How doth the little crocodile... by Lewis Carroll

How doth the little crocodile...

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

If I could live in my dreams and never wake up, I would.

As the 2010 FIFA World Cup kicks off today, in South Africa, this list contains information I have learnt from the Reader's Digest June edition, delivered every month to my little house.I found this list fantastic, and decided to keep it here, least I forget about it in the future.

  • The ten South African stadiums will seat more than 570,000 people.
  • Brazilian Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima has scored 15 goals over three cups- more than any other player.
  • In 1994, Cameroon's Roger Milla became the oldest player to compete in a World Cup: he was 42 years and 39 days old.
  • The fastest World Cup goal was scored in 11 seconds by Turkey's Hakan Sukur in 2002 against Korea.
  • 3 million tickets are available for the 64 matches; 480,000 of them to South African fans.
  • This year's winners will take home $30 million.
