atsumu confesses to hinata on a dare and everything falls apart.

hear me out: miya atsumu realizing his emotions. one-sided fake dating has so much angst potential, and i was not disappointed with this one. hinata is so sweet in this :( and i enjoyed how the author snuck in how atsumu was good for hinata too. also atsumu's character arc!

“by the way, don't drink the milk today.” sakusa says in an ominous tone and then just washes his face without any further explanation. atsumu stares at him.

“uh, okay. why?”

“because i put vinegar in it.”

the msby quartet live together in an apartment.

reading this at 1am made me laugh out loud. the group interactions is hilarious. the damp towel fiasco was too good in my head, and i just about lost it. same with sakuatsu realizations! def a fun fic!

it’s less than twenty-four hours later that bokuto stands in their kitchen, face aghast, and says: “so. i was wrong. hinata definitely has a crush on him. but it’s worse than we thought.”

looking away from the tea he’s brewing, keiji replies. “oh?”

raising his head slowly, bokuto meets keiji’s eyes with deathly calm. “i think atsumu likes him back.”

“oh. oh, no.”

no cuz... bokuaka practically being hinata's bird parents >>> it's hilarious watching atsuhina slowly pine over each other, it's adoring how caring bokuaka are for their friends :,)

atsumu has always been taught to colour the sky blue.

ever since samu quit volleyball, atsumu wrestles with the genuine concern that he may not actually end up the happier twin. it’s not until shouyou joins the team that he starts to see glimmers of a new dawn.

it hits him everyday in practice now like a phantom itch he can never quite scratch. a ghost of a prickle, always persistent. searching for something he has no memory of in the dark.

how to put a name to something he’s never lacked his whole life?

murphy’s law: anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

sakusa quickly learns that joining a team full of wild cards means he’ll be spending the rest of his volleyball career preparing for the worst and hoping for things to go relatively ok.
