Art project ideas Over summer I rarely do much in the ways of art. a few sketches a week, sometimes only a few a month. I'm hoping to change that this summer and really progress with my portfolio!
Long term
Story redesign - Take a fairytale, poem, movie, or even tv-show and redesign it to fit your style and theme. Can change the setting, time period, country, culture, and genre if wanted. Deliverables:
- Characters: Concepts and finals. Create a selection of characters that shows a range of aesthetics, mood, personality, build, age.
- Props: Concepts and finals. E.g. Trees, houses, books, transportation method, held items, 'What's in my backpack'. 2x final page deliverable. 1x is a page of small props, 1x is a large prop/s.
- Backgrounds: Concepts and finals. E.g. Back garden, forest, hallway, inside their house, cityscape, window view, a key scene, lair. 3x final page deliverable. 2x Key scenes, one with different day time lighting variations. 1x 3d cut through of a room.
