Since it's summertime and small town livin can sometimes get a little dull, my sister, my friend Jody, and I thought why not take a day trip to the 'Paris of the South'?

• Visit O. Henry's grave (this may sound a little twisted, but I'm more excited to see this than anything else)
• Visit Thomas Wolfe and Carl Sandburg homes
• See Basilica of St. Lawrence
• Go to Asheville Art Museum and Cultural Center
• Picnic along Blue Ridge Parkway
• Checkout local bookstores

And for anyone wondering the Biltmore House isn't on the list because been there, done that, too freakin EXPENSIVE
