- We all get to rug up in multiple layers
- It is perfect for snuggling beneath a doona in the morning
- It makes everything look prettier
- We can wear gloves and scarves and stockings without looking like crazy people
- The winter holidays are short enough that you work extra hard not to waste a single day
- The warmth of the fire place
- The smell of the fire place
- The way my significant other puts his jacket on my shoulders if i am cold even when i tell him i don't need it..he knows i actually do
- Being cold and walking into a warm spot where the sun shines through the trees
- Wearing daggy winter socks, because lets face it, it is cold enough for daggy to be cool again
- Spending lazy days in bed, under one hundred blankets, surrounded by pillows and books and magazines and sketchpads and pencils and paints and tissues (winter = sickness...if you are me)
- Drinking tea and feeling its warmth spread from my mouth, down to my stomache
- Being in the chilly NY streets and stepping into Starbucks and being immediately immersed in the warth, the scent and the ambiance
- Watching your breath rise into the air
- Warming your hands on hot coffee cups
