This is the listography for Team Octopii.

We are a group of fictives within a larger multiple system, identifying as members of Marvel's Hydra and related associates. We are one of the larger groups in the system, at around 15 members, with a purpose of guarding our system and keeping it running smoothly. We have two distinctly different timelines here-- Timeline A and B. Timeline A is older; Timeline B is closer to canon. There is also an unknown timeline, yet to be sorted out into A, B, or a third and separate timeline (C).

Honestly, we're just trying to live life and make the world a better place, as much as we can, with less drama this time around.

Our listography serves as a simple, organized way of arranging our information, and being able to pass it along to curious parties.

• Our system is endogenic.
• It's a large system, mostly comprised of fictives from a variety of sources.
• We have known about being a "we" since 1990. We have identified as a system since 2005.
• The "original" has been gone since 2013. We have two system admins overseeing out outworld life now.
• Our system has experienced trauma growing up, which has impacted how our system functions, though two (or more) people identify as having been born here and most system members believe in a spiritual explanation for the initial formation of our system.
• Most people in the system identify as being non-canon, or "AU".
• We have zero interest in system discourse, or "syscourse".

• Bodily, we are 30 years old.
• We identify as genderqueer.
  • They/them pronouns work fine for everyone, thank you.
• We identify as demisexual.
• The body is disabled, physically, and we also struggle with mental health issues.
• Bodily, we are ND.
• We are American.
• Overall, we identify as generally theistic, but there are a wide variety of opinions and beliefs here.
• We identify as democratic socialists.

To put it simply, we feel we came from a world that "really existed" somewhere.

For us, that world closely resembled the MCU version of events. Ultimately, however, we identify as being non-canon. Some things-- especially in regards to motivations and approaches-- are very different.

Our version of Hydra was an ancient cult that split off to worship and return to Earth an exiled Inhuman. It evolved over time to be a shadow organization that influenced world governments from behind the scenes, and while it eventually split into many different cells with different goals, the oldest of the cells believed in two missions: bringing about peace and order (albeit through often extreme methods), and pushing the evolution of humanity to make the world more pleasing for the Inhuman master they still sought to bring home.

• Ancient times - The Inhuman Hive is created by the Kree, and banished to another world by his fellow Inhumans.
• Around 4th century BC - A singular cult split into two factions: Order of the Shield, and Brotherhood of the Spear. Order of the Shield seeks to keep Hive imprisoned. Brotherhood of the Spear seeks to return Hive to earth.
• 800 to 1700s - The Brotherhood of the Spear evolves over time, changing names but keeping the same purpose. They find the object called the Monolith, and try to use it to retrieve Hive from his exile by sending "sacrifices" through the portal the Monolith creates. No one ever returns from these missions.
• 1700s to 1800s - For an unknown reason, the missions are abandoned in the mid to late 1800s. The Monolith is split into pieces, and given to the organization's top leaders.

• Social justice flavored.
  • Pro: feminism, choice, LGBT+ rights, polyamory, socialism, marriage equality, disability rights and protection, voter rights, self-diagnosis, body positivity (including fat positivity), basic income, prison reform.
  • Anti: conservative politics, pro-lifers, TERFs/SWERFs, MRAs, Alt Right/white supremacists, anti-vaxxers, new atheism, fat shaming, sex shaming, truscum.
• Food, housing, and health care should be a universal human right.

We are our system's most popular "tanks".

Because we are still living in an abusive situation, we provide a buffer between the outside world-- namely, our abusers-- and the rest of the system. We handle as much stress as possible, we keep our system safe, and try to make sure everyone is taken care of as best as possible. We have all been through worse, and many of us feel obligated to make up for past mistakes, so we have chosen to do this.

It's a shitty job, but we're proud to do it.

In our entirety, we reject and STRONGLY oppose Naziism and their ideals, and any form of white supremacy.

We find the entire concept of Naziism/white supremacy/the “alt-right” to be heinous and reprehensible. We have not, do not, and never will support the ideology of National Socialism/the National Socialist German Workers Party; we have not, do not, and never will support the ideology of Neo Naziism (a revival of NS); we have not, do not, and never will support the ideology of white supremacy/the “alt right”.

That is not who we are. That is not what we stand for. Full stop. Period. We demand nothing less than the equity and protection of all minorities; the disabled; women’s rights; reproductive rights; voter’s rights, and religious freedom.
