i think it's so important to be positive and see the beauty in everything, no matter how small, no matter how big. despite the bad things that have happened, are happening, and will happen, i think the world is inherently good and that people are inherently good. if we focus on the bad in the world, we will never be able to appreciate the simple things, like flowers or trees or waterfalls, because we will always be focused on "but this happened" or "how can the world be beautiful when that happened?"

there will always be bad in our world. oftentimes, there is very little we can do to change that. all we can do is focus on finding beauty despite that and through that beauty, finding peace and contentment. if we don't, we're missing the point of life.
