To improve my quality of life i believe i need to decenter the phone
- get a watch. hopefully a cloth strap won't suck. if it does, maybe double line it with a t-shirt fabric
- keep notepads on you again
- camera... i wonder if there is a thin, lightweight camera i could take? i think the phone is really the only thing that behaves as it does in that way. could also just jot down descriptions in notepad to tell people later
- have only one phone home page, put all essential apps on that and keep everything else in the back folders. delete social media apps the instant they're going unused
- use soundcloud, bandcamp, anything but spotify. dedicate more time to ripping your cds or listening to them at home. play jazz on vinyl again
- make zines. maybe brave a zine-a-day challenge to get over yourself (with love)
- figure out how to hem your pants by hand, how to alter clothes by hand
- friendship bracelets are a good idle use of your hands
- pick a book on your shelf and non-noncommittally flip through a few pages. go to a random chapter and read the first and last page, for example. then it can be put back, left alone if you don't want to keep going
- make more tea, cook more meals
- take longer bus rides out to further forests. go to bellevue or shoreline and see what those forests hold. go to ravenna and make a point of id-ing something, like the turkey tail mushrooms. explore more of the arboretum
- find volunteering to do, already got a few leads on hold til after the season
- do more stretches
- clean something, wipe down some counters, sweep
