- Butterfly - homemade costume by my mother. I wore all black and she made huge wings out of different colors of felt. I wore it in Kindergarten and still have the wings.
- La Fee Verte - Last year I bought a cheap Tinkerbell costume and turned it into La Fee Verte [The Green Fairy], the mascot of Absinthe. It went well.
- Witch of Blackbird Pond - It is a book and play my mother and I saw when I was younger, and I refused to just be any old witch, I had to be one with a history.
- Kittycat - My step mother made my step sister and I full cat suits out of furry material, I was a black one and my sister was a tan one. Our older sister drew whiskers and noses on us and we danced around the house in our costumes. We had a haunted house at our place that year. It felt like everyone on the island came.
- Wood Nymph - I had a very earthy, tattered top and matching skirt with tiny wings and braids in my hair.
- Punk Witch - I looked through the entire Spirit Store to find the skankiest teen costume with the most black in it, and this is what I bought. I had purple and black tights and I wore it to the school Halloween dance. Gotta love 7th grade.
- Devil - Can't go wrong. Red dress, red lipstick, devil horns. Easy as cake.
- Genie - This was the year Genie In A Bottle came out. I had a black, billowy outfit with gold trim and a jingle anklet.
- 50's Poodle Skirt Girl - This was for my Halloween party in 5th grade. I had a poodle skirt and a white button up top, and a pink scarf tied up my hair.
- Bag of Jelly Beans - Probably my favorite costume ever. I wore white tights, a white long sleeve shirt and white gloves. I took a clear trash bag and blew up a bunch of different colored balloons and filled it up, I stuck my legs and arms through the holes in the bag and tied it around my neck with a ribbon. I looked AWESOME.
- Amy Winehouse - I bought a Rastafarian wig at Value Village for 2 bucks and pinned it into a pompadour and kept my bangs out. I wore an old wife beater and cutoff shorts and bought fake tattoos from the 50c machine and did the huge cat-eye liquid liner. I also had a liter of Jager in a paper bag and carried it around with me all night. [My bestie Kier was Minnie Mouse.]
