In the past, in search of power, kings ended up begging their gods to establish their blessings on certain runes, small stones in the shape of a pentagon. With that, they created the ancient runes.

With the Sun God, they created the rune Ignis, based on fire spells. With the God of the Ocean, they created the rune Aqua, based on water spells. With the Goddess of the Harpies, they created the rune Ventus, based on wind spells. With Mother Nature, they created the rune Lignum, based on wooden spells.

In addition, some other cults used Christ and Lucifer as a base, creating the Lux rune, based on spells of light and also creating the Tenebris rune, based on spells of darkness.

Using these ancient runes all at once, a gentle queen created a rune called the White Millennium, used especially to fight the Black Millennium, the evil rune of another king who had become corrupted. The White Millennium was based on gentle spells, using all the energy of the people who supported the queen, as for the Black Millennium ended up taking strength from people who were corrupted in some way.

In the future, after the study and use of runes, they created a school with the objective of creating good-hearted mages, being called Rune Users. Some other people are malicious and end up using spells for their own benefit, they are called Wizards or Witches, as they are indirectly servants of the Black Millennium.
