- Acrophobia - fear of heights
- Agraphobia - fear of sexual abuse
- Ancraophobia/Anemophobia - fear of wind; I live in the Midwest... we're notorious for our tornadoes... I HATE tornadoes... Thus, strong winds scare me.
- Atychiphobia - fear of failure; Perfectionist... such a double-edged sword.
- Asthenophobia - fear of fainting or weakness
- Aviatophobia - fear of flying; Went to Jamaica one year when I was younger, on the plane trip home, we had HORRIBLE turbulence. Needless to say, that was the last time I was ever on a plane.
- Emetophobia - fear of vomiting; I can count the times I've thrown up on one hand, and I'd very much like to keep it that way. Last time was a few years ago. Horrible kidney infection... I ended up hyperventilating when I felt like I was going to throw up. Now, I'll do whatever it takes to NOT throw up.
- Harpaxophobia - fear of being robbed; I'm pretty paranoid.
- Iatrophobia - fear of going to the doctor; I used to kick and scream when I was younger if I ever had to go to a doctor. The only doctor I'm comfortable enough to go to is my Asthma and Allergy doctor... anything other than that... have fun trying to get me there. I'm always afraid they'll find something wrong with me.
- Lilapsophobia - fear of tornadoes and hurricanes; Same as the fear of wind. I get incredibly paranoid when it storms. The ONLY time I hate living in Illinois. I become obsessive with the Weather Channel during those times. I pretty much freak out.
- Musophobia - fear of mice
- Pnigophobia/Pnigerophobia - fear of choking, of being smothered; I have pretty bad asthma, so I cherish being able to breathe easily. I freak out if I can't... even the slightest. I don't like having anything around or covering my nose and mouth, especially when I sleep.
- Pocrescophobia - fear of gaining weight
