But anyone who goes into the arts finds a way to return to those impulses and to be true to what he or she is feeling inside. Improv is all about not thinking. Yes, you use your brain and actively listen to what is going on, but you just respond to it. You don’t filter it. And the best writing is when people have the honesty to say, “This is how I see the world.”
