I have brought it upon myself to do better about the current deficits in my reading habits. I love to and have always loved to read books. The same passion that goes into my love for liesure reading also fuels my hatred for reading text books. Since I have allowed for this hatred to take over, I have formed a most unruly habit of starting several books I am interested in, but not taking the time to finish them. It has been difficult for me to read over a progressive span of time. This being said, I must list books I wish to highly recommend. Then, I will list books I am working on. Highly recommended from the Femme book club:
- The Giver by Lois Lowry
- Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell
- Sex God by Rob Bell (the title is a bit awkward, but it is truly a wonderful book, and not what most people would expect it to be about. It is one of my favorite books)
- Praise Habit by David Crowder
- _Redeeming Love_by Francine Rivers (So amazing, also now one of my favorite novels)
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (needless to say, AMAZING)
Working on:
- Persuasion by Jane Austen
- Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
- 101 Questions to Ask Before You Get Engaged by H. Norman Wright
- Jesus Without Religion by Rick James (so far, proving to be very interesting
- Sex God by Rob Bell (re-reading because its so good)
