- To hide unflattering v-necks. If I am wearing a top thats only fault is the ugly neckline then I'll solve the problem with a nice pashmina.
- If it's cold...
- To compliment a hat. I can wear scarves without hats but hats without scarves looks ridiculous.
- To show off a lovely new scarf. An obvious one really but if I've just bought a new scarf then I'll customise the outfit to match the scarf.
- If I don't have a necklace to match my outfit I will gladly substitute with a scarf.
- When I am out on a first date I always wear a scarf. Without fail. Why? If I like the guy I'll leave the scarf in his car/house on purpose so he HAS to see me again! If I don't like the guy then I just don't take the scarf off.
- I collect scarves from all over the world and they make a great talking point sometimes.
- For times when I have accidentally dressed all in one colour and need something to break it up a bit.
- If I go outside with wet hair and I don't want my neck to get damp.
- I have never worn a scarf to cover a hickey but I'd imagine that could be a very good reason.
