  • John Noble's acting.
  • John Noble's weird accent.
  • The character of Walter.
    • We get it, he's eccentric, he likes random foods, move on.
    • How come he knows so goddamn much about ALL SCIENCE EVER. How can a biochemist build a device to travel between universes, exactly?
    • The only believable parts are when he's speaking to Peter on a personal level.
  • "Dark Matter" was used twice in the first season opening titles and then never mentioned and removed completely come season two.
  • Some of the "science". Not all of it, I am perfectly capable of suspending my disbelief for a time. Just some. Like the time they cut glass from a window where a murder happened and somehow played this glass like a record and heard the last few seconds of the victim's life. No, I'm not buying it. I will accept that cancer can be contagious provided the people involved in the spreading have been treated with a certain drug but no, I will not accept the weird sound imprinting in glass thing. That's just complete bullshit.
  • Peter's position as state the obvious guy.
    • Here's how it works. This is an example of the top of my head.
    • Walter: "If we could somehow critically phase match the input high power from the 50Hz source to the crystal configuration and manipulate the particles' quantum coordinates, it might be possible to develop an image which can be interpretted by the cerebral cortex."
    • Peter: "So, you're saying, we could turn the television on and actually see something on the screen?"
    • Seriously, I could write this shit for a living. The people on Fringe do.
  • The Police. I have to say I'm not much into police dramas so have no idea how they are usually portrayed but I'm quite confident that the FBI would not send a young female agent into a high risk situation on her own on such a regular basis.
  • They seem to imply that scientists are all insane, sociopathic megalomaniacs hell-bent on either destroying the world for fun or using real people to experiment on.
  • Peter somehow managing to speak every single freaking language they require.
  • Agent Francis appearing in an episode after he was dead with no acknowledgement of this incredible one-episode-encore whatsoever.
  • The only important events seem to occur in the north east corner of the USA. Usually in either Boston or New York City. It also seems to present absolutely no problem to the characters to just nip down quickly to NYC. That's a 4 hour drive for god's sake.

For some reason, though, I love this show beyond belief!
