The Gogglers

  • An ancient race of fish-people, they have recently found a path to the surface after a period of seismic acitvity
  • Drawn to the light of the moon after an eternity in undersea exile they rise to the surface at night and begin to lay clutches of eggs in the sewers and secret tunnels beneath the town
  • They have also taken to murdering some of the locals to build better nests
  • People have trouble remembering properly what they saw- most early reports are dismissed as drunken fantasy or specters in the mist
  • If left unchecked they will complete their ritual and bring forth a new elder god
  • If murdered they give rise to smaller brief manifestations of demigods resembling the players until they summon forth a god who sinks into the bay at the end of the encounter
