valentine's day moogle for kupo (14th feb 2018)

princess mouseena for kupo (10th oct 2018... next day i made her a little sash out of pink gingham bias tape!!)
- once upon a time there lived a kupo who loved a mouse. one day the mouse became very sad. to cheer her up the kupo bought the mouse a crafting kit to make a tiny princess mouse and her prince mouse. when the mouse got the kit in the mail she was so happy! she thought she must make it up to the kupo somehow. so she decided to gift him princess mouseena for his birthda...

'nostalgia' dress: mccall's M7086 A, completely revamped, in dreamy city street print (27th nov 2018)
- this is srsly my favourite & probably best make ever! took around 6 days. it was so worth the effort! reasons:
  - the print is GORegEOUSE. detailed, harmonious. and the colours are these pretty, feminine pastels against a white background. it passes easily for a genuine 50s print!
  - i got a white polka dotted baby pink buckle from daiso by chance after two days of searching for buckles. it looks! so! good!
  - the dress appears fitted--even tailored--from all angles, but is actually extremely relaxed, enough that i can pull the entire dress over my head, and there is then...

i forget i am only 22 sometimes. a few years ago i would feel like it was long past prime time for cultivating certain talents. this is ridiculous. just last year i was afraid to start learning--until i started to frequent daiso. colouring books reignited my childhood love of visual art. then i took the leap with sewing; i always said i would after i left school. i learned to needle felt shortly after that. with each new skill i learn i feel more and more confident in my abilities. excelsior!!!

✔ sewing: yay! never thought i'd be able to make my own clothes!! it's something i always wanted to learn, but i was always very intimidated. now i believe i can do anything if i set my mind to it!
