• long spiral staircases (often combined with something scary)
  • intense colors in the night sky. The most insane, explosive meteor showers you can imagine.
  • taking pictures of things. Usually something goes wrong so that either I don't get to see the pictures, my camera is stolen,or the pictures don't turn out well. Often there's something outstandingly beautiful beyond anything I've seen in real life, and I'm trying to take pictures.
  • something awful hiding in the basement, lurking unseen for months. Finding out what it is is always a dreadful moment. (This has mostly stopped.)
  • running from things, escaping, trying not to die
  • zombies (that may or may not want to eat me). I usually start off the dream trying to destroy them. (Note: the zombie dreams have mostly stopped.)
  • dogs that want to eat me. Usually horrifying and large.
  • sexy men
  • going to the school lunch line and filling up a plate, or trying to. Seriously, why do I dream about THIS so often? MUCH of the time people are trying to keep me from filling my plate, or enjoying what I have on it.
  • cats
  • struggling to stay conscious, to move, to do anything. I can hardly keep my eyes open, hardly keep myself from being dragged to the floor by the apparent sudden increase in gravity. I fight it as hard as I can and it's still barely enough.
  • Portal guns
  • hopelessly massive, grandiose libraries, often in colleges. Gilded, beautiful places.
  • post-apocalyptic societies, and trying to evade/escape from oppressive forces within them.
  • my teeth falling out. Sometimes they come out all at once, other times it's drawn out and traumatic and very concerning.
