Have you noticed that cruelty free lists and resources focus on cosmetics, skin care, and hair care? Skincare and hygiene are vital to our day to day living! There are even information on cruelty-free household cleaning products.
The thing is, there is little attention given to more "embarrassing" needs. You know, stuff that needs attention but don't get talked about much: Periods, hemorrhoids, pregnancy, postpartum care such as treating perineum tears, and otherwise medicated products. If there are other health issues I've not covered, hit me up and I'll do some research.
This list is a work in progress. Check back as I fill it out! A lot of these may be considered First Aid, but it'll include natural & botanical solutions, too! My criteria are primarily: Cruelty free from start to finish, environmentally conscious, accessible, and not ridiculously expensive. I was hoping to find local products, but that's getting harder and harder to pin down, so I have a few online options put in. Some of the shopping and brand hunting resources I'm using are already in my list of best cruelty free blogs & resources.
Legend
Note: Most CVS products are cruelty free as far as I know. This document covers products, outsourcing, and suppliers for all of their own store brand. This includes their health products in categories I've listed below.
Also note this list of NOT Cruelty-Free companies by veganrabbit. At least it's comprehensive enough to include companies that provide pain relief, medicated products, and other body health issues. Avoid those.
Diabetes
External Pain Relief
Incontinence
Itch & Rash Treatments
Periods & PMS
Postpartum Health
Pregnancy
Anal Care
Side note: For UTIs, anal fissures, hemorrhoids, constipation, yeast infection, perineum tears, and even periods... an attachable bidet is worth the price. Hygienic, 100% cleaner than merely wiping off, environmentally friendly, kind to your bottom and genitals, and easy on people with back problems, arthritis, other physical disabilities, short arms, imbalance / uncoordinated, and pregnancy. Highly recommend Tushy. <- $10 referral link! It's $69 for Classic line. Easy and non-damaging install, anywhere including rental. You make up for the price by reducing TP, water, wipes, and even in some cases medicated ointment use. Find out Why Tushy to be convinced.
_CVS note:_ Some hemorrhoid creams have glycerin and paraben in them. Glycerin is safe for the most part (source) but watch out for phlabates and parabens.

Warning to the wise: Exercise caution purchasing anything with honey, sulfates, sugar, oil, or paraben for your privates.
