advanced info

  • this listography is first and foremost for me! i have so many thoughts and i'm not so great at writing them down. i'm trying to get better at doing that + expressing them fluently bc i really struggle to translate thoughts into writing.
  • speaking of things i struggle with oh my god i am so bad at social media. i hate posting about myself and interacting with strangers online is deeply unappealing to me so i've kinda just been a serial lurker for the majority of my time on the great big internet... but recently i've found myself wanting to occupy more space digitally! so this is kind of my starting point while i take baby steps towards doing...

compilation of danmei/manga/webtoons i'm keeping up with + thoughts i feel like writing down (from least to most detail, order of enjoyment not accounted for)

  • sa ye
  • pure intentions - great plot and characters. unfortunately the art suffers from same-face syndrome
  • 1995 youth report - really cute and art is beautiful but i'm not really rocking with the newest plotline. like whatever-his-name-is-sunbae is pretty but what the hell is his deal man like get out of the way
  • happy twogether - INSANELY underrated probably on account of it not being officially translated. actually coming back to this now this is not true it gets talked about quite a lot, i'm really surprised it's not licensed yet. anyways smth about this manhwa resonates with me in a way i ca...

  • manga/manhwa! i started reading manga in middle school and mostly never stopped. i read every demographic except shounen (with exceptions) but you've currently found me at a very yaoi time in my life.
  • chinese webnovels! idr how i got into these exactly but it was sometime in uni and after covid i think. my grasp of the chinese language is tenuous at best so i read these in english. i used to read romance of all genres but since i'm in my fujo era i've been reading danmei nearly exclusively for a while now.
  • video games! started with pokemon pearl on the nintendo ds at the tender age of 6, and here i am nearly two decades later still gaming away. i don't really know how to categorize my videogame genre interests so i'm not going to attempt it. jk yes i am i guess i like rpgs? mostly jrpgs and srpgs. whatever

  • soap bubble - ylem parfums; opening is straight bubblegum but it fades a little. smells like cheap airport soap... i don't think i like this :(
  • eastern veil - ylem parfums; opens with pencil shavings and maple syrup. fsr most peppercorn notes smell like pencil shavings to me. i'm gonna put myself down as a pepper disliker
  • ha long bay - jovoy; mango with some depth (spices? notes say cardamom and leather but i'm getting neither of those) it's ok but kinda gives me headache. and for mango perfumes i prefer miumiu's fleur de lait
  • dandelion butter - clue perfumery; i was so excited to try this after hearing all the internet buzz but uh... i didn't even get to the butter part before having an allergic reaction so intense it scared me a little

as someone very sentimental and also very forgetful i love revisiting things i loved! so this here space is for me to ramble about whatever i just re-read/watched/etc.

  • cheese in the trap - really really fun reread i found myself still loving it but appreciating it in new ways at 25 that i didn't at 15. seol remains the protagonist of all time i love that girl also she needed a gun desperately at many points in the series. found myself liking jung a lot more than i had in the past too. soonkki is so good at making a diverse and FUN cast of characters. seriously some of the side characters have more depth than some main leads out here in this barren new landscape. new fave side character is assistant heo... if anyone cares... also good lord the webtoon translations are horrific oh oddsquad i miss you every day
