this is sort of turning into a "cool things I've done recently list":

• left messages in books at foyles for future readers, with mabs
• cycled around the streets with a golf club across my shoulder
• was filmed doing some street art for a music video
• made a successful terrarium (dropped it)
• went to a fucking awesome pop up cinema in portobello
• newquay with wb, met insane scottish tramp
• got pissed off of a beer bong
• randomly turned up to 'the karate kid' premier and touched jackie chans and will smiths hands
• saw banksy's policemen in brighton
• had a typical seaside dinner and played the can game
• stayed up all night taking various narcotics at a mates house with a load of us sleeping all over the house in random places.. up until dawn
• had a dodgey squatter try to entice us into his derelict and graffiti covered building. < Brick lane
• stuck up stickers in the natural history museum
• swam in the sea and saw giant sea turtles
• cycled fuck loads and done it with a smile on my face
• played the arcade machines on brighton pier
• wrote and posted my first postcard, of own accord
• went round rioting and burning stuff on a humongous campsite with the boys
• saw some artists i like perform live and enjoyed it
• started sixth form/college
• made two old schoolshoe plant holders
• went to barry island and saw gwen and brins house, also saw lots of gav & stace settings
• started riding fixed gear
• started a fire with a flint fire lighter
• decorated a friends bedroom in graffiti
• turned up to a party with friends in full lycra (pink)
• cycled through ealing broadway centre and through the depot and filmed it with a flip cam
• went to central london (trafalguar square) to take part in a student protest
• bombay bicycle club
• received a torn ligament in my knee after slipping on ice
• entered a new year
• went on a field trip to slapton
• started to learn the ukulele
• slept at many different houses over half term

• brentford carlisle, johnstones paint trophy at wembley
• saw a big swing band live and bolshoi orchestra, classical music.. the prince of kent attended, I had my back to him

• applied for my first job
• went bowling for the first time in ages

• finally realised that house opposite has some extremely dodgey goings on.. not sure what yet
• high laughing fit with sten, madness
• brighton with molly, rode a rollercoaster on the pier
• pop off weekend, dans partay, family walk
• lucy rose at relentless garage, met her, signed ticket.. met a nice man afterwards in a band
• halo night (excuse nerdiness)
• clean shaven for first time in ages, shadoween of Movember
• gave blood for the second time
• climbed scaffolding surrounding gooses house
• completed movember and raised over £130
• turned 18, pop off party.. can't remember much, heard that's a sign of a good night
• had a day of jamming with a few cuppas and a joint on angus' scaffolding on a winter day
• winter walk throughout the morning with dan, back around 6-7am
• entered a new year, didn't die.. and the world is still relatively intact
• started reading properly again :)
• received first national geographic issue+fleece
• cycled (roughly) 2000km in a year on roadbike
• awesome hobbit outfits to fancy dress party
• awesome cafe in portobello and watched silent movie
• teed @ heaven, chilled in central, dooby
• started new trend in the group, american football, thanks to lewwyteedem
• angus turned 18:O
• went to a brazilian ju-jitsu session with luka, madness
• truanting a whole day of school like it was nothing to enjoy the sun
• learnt how to make proper cocktails at mccarthuers
• went bowling, followed by doing some abstract graffiti at the canal with dan n angus
• night out in camden, cool bar called 'joes'
• chilled at grandpas looking at old photos for a while
• few months into twenty-twelve picked up chess as a hobby, thoroughly enjoy it too
• deactivated my facebook, temporarily.. I think. makes you feel out of touch, but worth it
• voted in an election for the first time, mayoral
• started writing a diary
• went 'to town', dayumm
• started 'le book' project, bit sneaky, details not gonna be given
• picnic in kensington gardens park
• made a mean batch of iced tea for summer, vanilla flavourings and all
• had my final day of further education ever, wow
• the mad weekend/jubilee day of sunday/monday, mansers, marcel trouble
• saw a wild hedgehog for the first time in years
• had a high night in to myself, hit the bong hard, nutsly high
• wrote a concise article on the recent technological boom and human laziness, quite proud
• article was published on opinion panel dot com :D
• had my last a level exam and prom, finished off another chapter of my life pretty much. An odd one to say the least, but one that is notable for experiences, new hobbies and meeting some awesome new people oh and learning stuff about people in general
• lucy bentley told me something very disturbing about the evening after prom, her dad knows?! through my dad?! WTF D:
• zante in general, enjoying a hot country, meeting locals, getting crunk
• riding around the island of zante on mopeds with my best friends
• midnight/very late night time walk in hyde park
• meat liquor, edgiest/coolest burger place
• saw the olympic torch, probably the first and last time I will
• was at a shindig that was interrupted by the noise police!
• got out real early into portobello, lisboa cafe, had the best latte's I've ever had and saw pete burns later on
• cruised the oxfordshire canal on otis b. driftwood with angus and elliot saw amazing scenery and chilled and pootled along
• spent a lot of time with coralie when she came back from France, picking up tents, staying up late, bowling and socialising
• received ABB in my A level results and gained a place at Sussex University
• visited julian assange's hideout at the ecuadorian embassy in central london, lil road trip in Tom's family volvo, had a pint at the plough afterwards
• took a shower with someone
• made tie dye t shirts, bit pale but still funky
• took a blanket to little field behind elthorne by the canal and played snakes and ladders and a game of chess
• the awesomeness that was bestival, followed by having only a few days until starting university so saw my friends and said brief goodbyes
• started studying and living at sussex university, an experience to say the least
• saw a wild badger! on campus!
• experienced student life in general, lecture halls and all that jazz and had pretty crazy experiences with new drugs, experimenting
• stayed up throughout the evening and next day until the following evening in order to reset sleeping pattern
• hitch hiked properly for the first time, went from corfe castle (what a coincidence) to swanage to bournemouth to london and back to campus
• took part in a psychological study that involved me taking an anti-depressant or a placebo, who knows, felt funny and cool to take part
• somehow finished all my first term assignments, whether or not they are good is another matter
• turned 19 years old..
• decided that someone I previously found a bit boring and a not particularly nice character is actually pretty cool and knows what's up
• got back into a bit of war hammer painting over christmas and made it into the year 2013, also delved into a little poetry
• went sledding in elthorne park with rory and angus
• had probably the least eventful period of my life ever, but I don't regret it.. some points of ones life are going to be pretty bland I guess, as long as the future holds much more excitement, which it does.
• dislocated my shoulder whilst playing football and rather lean, went to A&E at Royal Sussex Hospital, rather crazy experience
• visited Manchester
• the most inspirational person in my life passed away, grampa
• had an MRI scan in an fMRI machine.. for my shoulder
• received my first 1:1 for an essay on addiction
• had probably the most relaxed and low key funeral I will ever attend, jazz music was played.
• camden pub crawl for lewis' birthday, angus had lip bust real bad! I took several very light tolchocks to the head also
• met john newman
• parklife in manchester, returned the evening before an exam, saw Ella briefly on the main stage going wild
• had four days in between getting home and leaving for inter railing
• went travelling across europe in a group of 18, clubbing in Berlin, exploring Prague, Krakow for the second time, Budapest and Croatia.
• had a post inter railing holiday in Crotia with a different little crew, enjoyable and relaxing
• finished my first year of university, basically passed with the exception of doing a piece of coursework
• outdoor lotr marathon (missed a chunk of two towers though) on a hot summers day in elliot's garden
• took a few more trips on otis b driftwood, greatly relaxing and fun
• stayed in contact with a couple people I met across europe, inter railing
• went hiking and camping in the lake district with angus and elliot, crazy adventure, sheepfold home and torrential rain
• officially passed my first year with 63% in my sociology retake
• spent two weeks in urban and rural Cuba, met cool locals, swam in the caribbean sea and a lagoon, immersed myself in the culture of a revolutionary country and saw amazing fauna and flora
• started to enjoy the smoking of cigars
• had a cool experience with a 27yo newlywed
• moved into my first house (rented), sweet location in Brighton, bit grotty but a house
• hospitality, logistics and camo & crooked at concorde 2
• fire extinguisher madness behind east slope, drugs were involved
• weekend in bristol, site seeing and night out at an awesome venue
• reached my twentieth year of age
• all nighter at the library to do a sociology essay in under a day
• had a pretty damn thick beard, well over a month and half in growth
• had my first ever employed shift at the natural history museum waiting for 600 guests
• clean shaved 3 times within a week, quite a milestone for my beardy self
• started pulling shots on my espresso machine
• spent a surreal evening at jenny's cool house at caledonian road, rough sleep, big night
• spent a good chunk of winter getting high on the streets of london in very wet and stormy weather, nothing deters
• finished off the year 2013 with a difference, spent it with a few new people and had a laugh, pretty tame but nonetheless the mark of a new year
• did january exams and moved into warleigh road again, did up my room a tad more
• helped set up the new UoSussex Chess Club, even have a card/lanyard that says president on it
• having said that... have reached a significant level of chess playing, if I may say so myself
• huxley at audio, dropped, big dancing sesh and ended up at having joints at chis on campus and got the bus back home with matt bright and early in the morning at around 8, fun
• had my laptop (and love of my life) broken by ed on valentines day
• carnage.... shoulder fucked up again, little memory of night
• spent a few unplanned days back at home, watched wolf of wall street and stuff was awesomely chilled
• played in my first OTB chess tournament and won my game!
• went to a 'house party' type shindig in which I only knew the host (noone else at all) for the first time ever
• the boys came down for a big weekend, smoking j's in my room until about 10am
• celebrated lewis and will's birthdays at lightbox before having a couple joints in lammas at the beginning of the next day
• went to Berlin during the world cup from the 8th of July to the 15th.
• went to Elliots cottage around a week after...
• had a bad bike crash. lots of fractures and bruises, one on my brain apparently. a blessing in disguise ?
• everything around this time seems hard to put into place, visually. On a sort of internal/visual timescale it is all fucked up. The first half of 2014 was spent failing second year, living life nocturnally and not enjoying events that I should have, such as Berlin and the trip to Elliots cottage. And then from August the rest of 2014 seemed to be… rather brilliant, or okay, at least.
