❅ seongjoong

Hongjoong is sick, but the night is still more than perfect, especially because Seonghwa gets a lap full of sleepy, adorable boyfriend.

Hongjoong totally knows how to deal with a crush.

Hongjoong’s clothes have dirt stains, and his hair looks tangled. Seonghwa fidgets as he considers whether it would be okay to start grooming Hongjoong without asking him, because he likes cleaning, and he’s pretty sure he likes Hongjoong, too, because the new kitten boy is so cute.

(years down the line, seonghwa is not sure whether he fell bit by bit, or crashed into hongjoong's orbit all at once from the very beginning, but it's all the same in the end.)

arguably my fav seongjoong fic ever

Ironically, he's never really felt like a hero.

Scorpio's a hero. Hongjoong is not.

Because the dream wasn't a simple nightmare. It was a memory.

And even when Hongjoong's as touch starved as he possibly could be, he can't risk the possibility of accidentally hurting Seonghwa.

The thing about being the leader of ATEEZ is that Hongjoong feels responsible of keeping his members from harm.

"You're dumb, ghosts don't exist."

or

A story about Hongjoong, author with a terrible writer's block and owner of a puppy, who recently moved into a villa he inherited. What no one told him about? The ghost lingering in the corners of his new home.

“And this is,” Hongjoong hesitates with one hand gesturing to Seonghwa. “This is my — um — ”

“We were trainees together,” Seonghwa cuts in. He immediately regrets how brusque his voice sounds. “It feels like so long ago.” He forces himself to look at Hongjoong, to act normal. “Doesn’t it?”

Hongjoong holds his eyes and laughs nervously. “It’s been ten years.”

“What are you doing here?” Hongjoong asks dryly, turning his head to look at Park Seonghwa, head of the sales department in KQ Studios, who’s leaned up against the doorframe like he’s using Hongjoong’s office for an impromptu photoshoot, except that’s how he naturally poses. All the time.

“You’re as welcoming as ever,” Seonghwa says, with his perfect, white teeth and boxy, fake smile that never seems to reach his eyes. “I can’t visit my favorite person in the company?”

“Who?” Hongjoong asks. “It’s not me.”

(Hongjoong would be more adamant about establishing to Seonghwa that they are not friends, but whatever free time rolls over from his long workdays as KQ’s animation supervisor is reserved for his longtime online friend, Mars.)

Love is not kissing for hours. Love is not cuddles and soft pecks of affection. That is not Love. Love is fighting over where to eat. Love is waiting. Love is being angry and afraid. Love is hurting and being hurt. Love is Staying Regardless of those things. Or: Hongjoong and Seonghwa Love each other.

Hongjoong loved his soulmate, but he didn’t know them.

What he did know was that for the sake of his dream, Hongjoong would have to give up his soulmate.

He chose to leave them behind for now.

Turns out, his soulmate followed him anyway.

Seonghwa worked so hard to become closer to Hongjoong, even when it seemed the other wanted nothing to do with him. But then the air is cleared, which means they’re good now, right?

Or: Seonghwa falls in love with Hongjoong slowly and doesn’t even notice.

To protect and ensure the safety of his pack, Hongjoong would give anything- including himself to whichever pack promises the most protection.

Seonghwa is suddenly faced with an omega that is nothing he ever expected and everything he never realized he needed.

Two packs attempt to be one, two people attempt to be more, and two wolves attempt to ensure that each of them is the last one standing.

The battles never cease, and in the end, all you have to rely on is instinct.

A man in a fedora stood before him.

“There are countless dimensions in the world... You’re going to make a mistake.”

“What mistake?” Hongjoong managed.

“The same mistake I did.”

In his black gloved hand was an hourglass. The sand in the bottom of it was silvery lavender, like glowing stardust gathered in the bottom.

“You’re going to try and save them.”

(Based on the teaser pics and film!)

A hundred lives across a million realities. No one is the same, but does anything really change?

College student Hongjoong falls asleep and wakes up in a world that’s been burning as long as anyone can remember, but he has finals next week. War-hardened Hongjoong wakes up to faces he recognizes but no one he trusts, but in his world, trust is the only way to survive.

All they want is to go home.

A college student and a resistance leader wake up in each other worlds.... What a fucking joke.

The Ateez pirate crew lost their first mate, Seonghwa, to the seas. Months later, Hongjoong is saved from drowning by someone he never thought he'd see again.

It's Seonghwa. Except now he's a mermaid, and doesn't remember any of them.

“I’m scared that it’s all going to shatter in a second, everything I’ve tried to build up.” Hongjoong prays for the next words to not damn him to a lonely future in his apartment. “I’m scared that I’ll get too attached and it will all come back again.”

There’s, honest to God, a world of excruciating pain in Seonghwa’s words, and Hongjoong’s not sure he even understands half of what is being said because Seonghwa is too fucking skilful with his words and too fucking vague, but he does hear one thing, loud and clear like he’s always heard it.

Just like him, Seonghwa is scared of being lonely too.

Admittedly, it probably wasn’t one of the best choices Hongjoong had made. In fact, it had stemmed from a long line of bad choices that started with telling his best friend Yunho that yes, he did have a boyfriend and he would go on a double date with him, and ended with drunkenly googling ‘how to get a boyfriend fast when you hate talking to people’ at 3am and somehow coming up with a Wikihow article on summoning a demon.

(or, Hongjoong summons a demon to pretend to be his boyfriend, because that isn't a disaster waiting to happen, right?)

“Don’t even worry about that,” Mingi waves his hand. “Seonghwa-hyung is very sociable and very busy. You’ll get along just well, I’m sure!”

Mingi was wrong. They do not get along well.

A memory still pops up in Seonghwa’s mind about a time when the two of them decided to take a bath together after a long week of studying for exams and finishing up miscellaneous projects.

Seonghwa can still smell the lavender bath bomb that sizzled in the warm water. He can still feel the heat from Hongjoong’s skin where his back rested so snuggly against the older’s chest that not even the air could come in between them.

And he could only think: this is it, Hongjoong’s it for me.

(Or, Seonghwa is still stuck trying to figure out if breaking up with Hongjoong five months ago was actually for the best).

When his roommate Seonghwa starts wearing skirts around campus like some kind of off-duty model, Hongjoong takes a purely academic interest in designing one for him.

Seonghwa would laugh at the unflattering squeak Hongjoong makes as Seonghwa flips both of them over, but his heart has crawled up to his throat in anticipation of crossing a careful boundary that they both, on separate and overlapping occasions, have tried to draw thicker lines over in hopes of preserving the peace a little longer.

In retrospect, it’d been silly of Seonghwa to think becoming housemates with Hongjoong would make the nebulous, unnamed thing between them dim until it disappeared entirely.

(Five times Seonghwa and Hongjoong sidestepped their feelings and the one time they couldn't.)

Hongjoong is the best spy in his agency and yet he’s been forced to team up with his greatest rival Seonghwa, who is both the most notorious Raven (seducer) and risky spy he’s ever known. Together they go undercover at a couple’s resort in order to bust a drug ring and locate two missing agents, but in the end they discover more than what they bargained for.

A slightly humorous enemies to lovers, spies undercover, fake couple AU.

Seonghwa isn't too sure what to think of his mysterious omega neighbor with the sweet strawberry scent and pretty smile, who shows up in his quaint, predictable life with a bang, uninvited but wholly welcomed.

But Hongjoong's past is more than meets the eye, and Seonghwa is falling harder and faster than he'd ever expected.

Seonghwa was a good intelligence agent. He could pick, coax, and pluck gain any piece of information he needed. Provided Kim fucking Hongjoong didn’t choose to fuck him over. Hongjoong was effective in getting out whatever intel he needed from his partners. And he had no problem going through as many partners as it took. Though operating on the same side of the law, the two can’t seem to help but clash in a violent show of anger and seduction. Circumstances cut that feud short, though, as matters more important than petty grudges arise and force the two into territory neither was prepared to handle.

When you stab someone in the back.... be careful not to leave the knife in. They may now find it more useful than you.

“Why are you so skittish with me?” Seonghwa asks, lips curling up in a way that makes the hairs on the back of Hongjoong’s neck stand on end. “I’m not the one who bites.”

Oh, fuck this guy. Hongjoong had planned on apologizing for his misconduct, but now he just wants to bite Seonghwa again.

“Where’s San.”

“He has the day off,” Seonghwa says. His smile widens, and he’s watching Hongjoong like a cat who's trapped a mouse by the tail with his paw. “You’ll be doing business with me today.”

“Is it bad that I think your jealous face is cute?” Seonghwa mumbles, and Hongjoong sputters in embarrassment, fingers curling tighter around the knit material of Seonghwa’s sweater.

“May we never speak of it again,” Hongjoong says, evenly. “Please. This is mortifying enough as is.”

“I’ll check in with you every time I’m preparing to send a message to Juyeon-ssi or Minho-ssi,” Seonghwa says, practically gloating. “Do you want to know the passcode to my phone?”

Hongjoong groans. “I do not need to know the passcode to your phone!!!”

After six months at sea, Hongjoong finally returns home to his gorgeous sleeping husband.

❅ woosan

San was blinded after a series of dreadful events that revealed his power, being that the things he pictured in his mind came true. To avoid further complications and accidental deaths, he had his sight ripped from him, even at the approval of his parents, who only ended up suffering the same fate as many before them.

Reserved, cold, and abandoned, San is turned in to a supernatural facility where he meets seven unique characters with extraordinary auras, who all make him feel like he isn't just a bearer of misfortune or a walking omen of death. There, he finds love, beauty, and hope in things that he can't see, but can feel all the same.

“You said it felt like fate,” Wooyoung says. Love at first glance is a nice way of romanticizing thinking with other body parts, but San might have more foresight than either of them expected. Maybe people who are open to the idea of destiny and real life princes whisking them off their feet have the sixth sense for when it happens. “Did it feel electric? Were there butterflies?”

He crosses his legs and flutters his eyelashes suggestively, just enough to let San know he can be as serious or unserious with his answer as he wants.

“No,” San replies. He pretends to think, but not for long. “You made me laugh. I liked the sound of yours. I wanted there to be more hours in a day so that I could keep on talking to you.”

(The stakes seem like they should feel higher, but maybe Wooyoung just had a slow start to falling.)

❅ yungi

Yunho might be a little buzzed when a tall, handsome stranger walks into one of Jackson Wang’s college parties and he can’t help himself but to call ‘dibs’.

The only way for something to free itself from the gravitational influence of a massive body is when it travels fast enough to break away from it. Yunho can only wonder what the escape velocity for breaking out of Mingi’s orbit would be.

(Or, it’s almost comical how Mingi notices all the small things about Yunho and yet, doesn’t seem to have a fucking clue what his biggest predicament is.)

And Yunho would manage to be home before midnight, too, if it was not for the small, neon green sticky note attached to his bag, which reads, “meet me at my studio when you’re done, bring snacks ^3^”, signed with the most extravagant swirl possible – one Yunho knows rather intimately as Song Mingi’s well-practiced signature.

Or, in which Mingi seeks advice on a song for his crush, and Yunho suffers greatly because of it.

part 1 of the song beyond thought series

The edges are rough, Mingi knows, and nothing is ever so perfect as you would like it to be - especially relationships, new and old, friendly and familiar alike. And be it divine intentions or the greatest of fortunes which have seen Mingi worthy of such a companion in his life, Mingi could not be more grateful for anything else - except maybe his career, but he recognizes it as the reward for his hard work and those of his best friends, rather than destiny having its hands in the creation of their success.

How he, a simple rapper, music producer, resident lovable dork of this one special idol group taking over South Korea, could ever deserve the nation’s very sweetheart Jeong Yunho, is something out of Mingi’s comprehension.

Or, in which Mingi and Yunho laze around after their Vlive, just talking and being in love.

part 2 of the song beyond thought series

Maybe this is why Mingi feels guilt; because in the moments before - before Yunho sprained his ankle, and Mingi had to watch as Yunho’s eyes betrayed the fear and anguish he felt, yet he still tried to conceal them with an enduring smile - Mingi had seen how Yunho looked at him. With cameras rolling, it had been too much, but Mingi had returned it, that same gaze, just as intense, because with Yunho, Mingi does not wish to be anyone but his true and honest self.

Perhaps, there lay Mingi’s fatal mistake - nobody bats an eye when they share such moments in private, though Mingi had forgotten where he was, if only for a single second, and Yunho was the one who paid the price for it.

Mingi falls in love at thirteen. Of course, he doesn't really know what love is.

OR; mingi pines over yunho for a VERY LONG TIME.

“We aren’t married,” is all Mingi can say, because literally what the fuck is going on.

❅ jongsang

a story in which jongho just wants to look at stars, but he finds himself looking at someone else instead.

"Hey, I never got your name?"

"I never gave it," the Slytherin shrugged making Jongho frown. He wasn't going to give up though.

"I'm Jongho, Choi Jongho," the Ravenclaw introduced himself, feeling as if he was talking to air by the way the Slytherin just hummed in response. "What's your name?"

The Slytherin paused for a moment before speaking only loud enough for Jongho to hear. "I'm Yeosang, Kang Yeosang."

“First of all, please stop hitting things face first. Your voice may be your moneymaker, but you still need your face,” Hongjoong sighs.

-

Jongho is confused, Yeosang is clueless, and communication doesn't exist in this house.

Jongho couldn't help but be fascinated by the pretty boy who always sat in the library. To say he was in distress was a pretty big understatement.

❅ hohong

In which Yunho and Hongjoong get drunk, accidentally find themselves married (to each other), forget the part where you should probably be dating first, fight a bakery for a cake, put up with their friends throwing shitty bachelor parties with too many penis shaped balloons, go on vacation to a cabin in the woods (NOT A HONEYMOON!), and file for divorce...Maybe.

In which Hongjoong trips over his own shoelaces, cracks in the sidewalk, and his feelings—not necessarily in that order.

If once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a pattern...Hongjoong isn't sure what to call the other times he and Yunho end up attached at the mouth.

Someone once said: if you travel far enough, you will eventually meet yourself.

Hongjoong...doesn't think this is what they meant.

(oh my god they were roommates)

Thanks to an assignment in his first semester at SNU, Yunho finally has the perfect chance to confess a secret he's been hiding for the better part of a decade.

[ Alternatively Titled: Yunho is as dense as a goddamn rock. ]

Even if he's kind of a shit vampire, Hongjoong is proud of his recurring job at Fright Nights and the plaque touting him as the 'Best Scarer of the Month' for the last six years. That is...until a certain Jeong Yunho laughs at his extremely terrifying fanged leap from his favorite hiding place.

Laughs.

Okay, but Yunho's fist connecting with his skull actually really hurt.

It was just an old and unassuming bottle of unlabeled cologne.

Otherwise Titled: Jeong Yunho's foolproof guide to bagging the man of your dreams!

All Yunho wanted was a simple answer to a simple question: who's the guy Hongjoong wants to bone? (And please god don't let it be Mingi.)

❅ seongsang

Yeosang, to say the least, was a simple person. He didn't fuss when things were off, nor did he wish for grand things to somehow happen and sulk when they didn't. He lived life simply, walked through it and took whatever was given to him. He was quiet, gentle, and people have told them they enjoyed him and his company due to this fact; however, that was years, decades ago, when he was alive and could live under the sun and actually have friends, form bonds with those he shared humanity with. Being turned into a vampire may have sucked. Having Seonghwa didn't.

--

Or, the telling of the times Yeosang fell more and more in love with Seonghwa.

Kang Yeosang was an infamous figure in Hana Academy Seoul. His mouth was filthy and dripped muddy insults on a daily basis. But as irritating and disruptive as the teenager was, for all the damage he caused, he was never thrown out of the prestigious private school. And why? His father had money. Park Seonghwa was a respected figure in Hana Academy Seoul. He had a flawless track record, and was the prime example of purity. All students and faculty loved him for his sweetness. He gave love and got love in return, but once again, in the purest form.

aka, the one where Yeosang is the school's rebel and Seonghwa is top of the class. Seonghwa thinks he's boring and has a hopeless crush on Yeosang, and Yeosang thinks he's only worth it when it comes to cash, and most definitely doesn't like Seonghwa. Not at all. The two get in trouble during chemistry class, leading to a few things: they get detention, Seonghwa's perfect record is soiled, and the two get a chance to hash their feelings out.

Yeosang is chilling on the couch, ready to rewatch the toxicology intro video someone sent to the biochemistry group chat, when Wooyoung asks him. Actually, he doesn’t even ask. He just shows up in front of Yeosang, chest puffed up with determination, and says, “We’re going out tonight.”

(Yeosang meets Seonghwa at a party none of them wants to be at.)

Yeosang ends up being continually sexiled from his own apartment after his roomie and best friend of five years gets a new boyfriend. He doesn’t mind too much… not really. He’s just glad to see that Wooyoung is happy, and if San is the cause of that happiness, he’ll gladly step out when they want to enjoy each other's company.

He minds even less after he meets Seonghwa; a handsome, polite boy from a rich family who lives in the same complex off-campus.

A statue stands in the courtyard of the Academy of Light, a thousand-year-old school of the mystical arts. It has stood there for centuries, though no one quite knows its origin. It has no plaque, no nameplate, no indication of the person it is meant to honor or represent.

His name is Yeosang, and he has been there for five-hundred years, waiting for the day when someone breaks his curse.

Hongjoong takes one look at the man-shaped box emblazoned with the KQ Industries logo sitting in the middle of Seonghwa’s living room and bursts out laughing.

“Oh my god, I can’t believe you’ve bought a sexbot.”

❅ woosang

Living among the stars sounds like an awesome way to spend your life. But there is danger among the beauty and darkness of the universe that harms as easily as it attracts.

Some chose this life willingly. Other were dragged into it. None of them regret it.

Feelings are a weakness. Emotions can be used against you. Good thing for them, Wooyoung and Yeosang feel nothing for each other. Absolutely nothing.

Wooyoung breaks out of prison and things change. Even as they stay exactly the same.

People with special abilities are placed into compounds with others of special abilities. They are locked away, given no contact with the outside world, and are going to be there until the day they die. This was the best thing that had ever happened to Yeosang.

Being told no once probably hurts less than telling yourself no hundreds, thousands of times, right?

❅ jonggi

The reaosns Jongho hates finals week are simple. 1) He doesn’t get to spend as much time with Mingi, 2) He’s not given as much attention by Mingi.

Mingi moved his arms as he talked, gesticulating wildly to emphasize his point. The sweater pulled tight across his torso, and the sleeves cut off just over his elbows.

He was wearing Jongho's sweater.

❅ woojong

Jongho has a whole bag of feelings for Wooyoung, and he doesn't know what to do with them. What he does know, though, is that he wants to see him smile forever. He wants to be the only one Wooyoung directs his brightest smiles at, and Jongho doesn't know why. Except he does know why.

It's because he's in love with Wooyoung.

Jongho waits patiently every night for the pretty boy to come into his convenience store for a snack and if he's lucky, a conversation. One night though, the pretty boy is late and he needs Jongho's help.

Being a nurse isn't an easy job, especially not when Jongho's new patient keeps hitting on him while being high on anaesthesia.

The boy laughed and threw an arm around Jongho’s shoulders like they’d known each other for years.

“I’m Jung Wooyoung and I just saved your life.”

“He wasn’t going to kill me.” Jongho rolled his eyes.

“It’s a metaphor.”

“A metaphor for what?”

“Our relationship.”

“We don’t have a relationship. I don’t even know you.”

“Well let’s open that door and then you can buy me lunch.”

---

When Jongho was fifteen years old, he’d wanted nothing more than to grow up to become a Pro Hero. Somewhere along the line he lost sight of that dream, and he lost sight of Jung Wooyoung, too.

im SUCH A SUCKER FOR SUPERHERO FICS

Jongho had been searching endlessly for two weeks to find someone to play an accompaniment to his voice. There was a showcase at the end of the semester; a little event to show his professors that their time wasn’t wasted on him, to show improvement and potential. Everything just had to be perfect, had to go exactly right, or he was doomed. Ever since his accident, he’d lost his scholarships, the whole reason he had gone to school here in the first place. He was starting to get more desperate the longer he went without someone to play for him. So much so that he even accepted a referral from one of his closest friends. Time was running out and the man that showed up on Yeosang's recommendation was... well... not exactly what Jongho had been expecting.

❅ honggi

It starts with a rose and ends with love. But anything inbetween? Well, let's say it's not that rosy.

Or

Hongjoong lives a simple life with his mother until he's forced to stay at a hidden castle. He's at the Beast's mercy but that doesn't mean he lets himself be treated like dirt under ones shoes.

"And then he just shoves the phone right in my fucking face," Hongjoong says, waving his hands in the air. "Can you believe it? I almost threw up. The thing is fucking huge."

"Can we not talk about cocks at the dinner table," Seonghwa says tiredly.

New message from unknown, the notification says.

Damn, Mingi really has to get a new phone.

❅ sansang

Yeosang doesn't want to admit it but he is falling in love under the same tree he met Choi San for the first time, where he also fell.

(Yeosang and San grew up together).

There exist moments in which Yeosang’s body is San’s more than it is his own, but they’re just that—moments. Every once in a while, the darker, self-serving part of San wants full ownership, hungers endlessly for concrete, permanent evidence he is wanted, but he’s slowly realizing how much more powerful it is that Yeosang allows himself to be seen by San, again and again.

“Have we met before?” San asks. It’s a classic line—often overdone and gracelessly transparent, but in this case it just stings.

Yeosang knew it’d be uncomfortable. He didn’t know it would hurt to have San not know him, even though this is exactly what he chose for them. For himself, really, because taking San’s memories was for entirely selfish reasons.

“I—no,” Yeosang answers. “I don’t think so.”

“Oh.” San pouts. He does not let go of Yeosang’s sleeve. He keeps staring, his jaw gone slack, and a tiny part of Yeosang preens. The attraction is still there, strong enough that San goes speechless just having Yeosang’s eyes on him even if he doesn’t remember how it feels when they touch.

(Yeosang thinks it's only the novelty of first meetings that's making San stick around.)

❅ jongsan

"We both have the same end goal here and if we put our minds together we can get to the bottom of this a lot faster. At least give me a chance."

Trusting a witch goes against every self-preservation instinct San has been taught to have. Sometimes instincts are wrong though, and the one thing he knows for certain is that he will never be able to stop this killer without Jongho’s help.

San meets Jongho while investigating a series of deaths and, against his best efforts, the uneasy partnership they strike up soon turns into a tenuous friendship. He finds himself having to navigate some unexpected feelings for Jongho while learning that many of the things he once thought he knew about the world are not true.

❅ woojoong

Contrary to how Hongjoong tells his aggrieved version of the story in later years, Wooyoung didn’t actually kiss him on their very first meeting. Hongjoong had been pointy and serrated all over, shoulders tense with self expectation and concern over how their lineup would change, and Wooyoung knew better than to risk his mouth coming away with thorns.

No, he waited a month. Astronomically long, really.

(5 times Wooyoung kissed Hongjoong throughout the years and 1 time Hongjoong kissed him.)

“You’re not trying to date me, right?” Hongjoong asks, aiming for the kind of delivery that can be easily interpreted as a joke, but Wooyoung’s expression turns carefully neutral, not defensive. “If it was anyone else, they’d get the wrong idea with how friendly you are.”

The words feel silly as soon as they’re out. Presumptuous. Naive. Like a big flickering neon sign that says, I’m not used to human attention and because of that, one positive interaction with a guy like you is giving me strange ideas. Sexuality has never been a taboo subject for Hongjoong, but it’s not something he actively wants to broadcast either. He should have kept his mouth shut and played along until he could cut off contact and retire to the mountains in complete isolation.

“I mean,” Wooyoung says, after a torturous stretch of silence and Hongjoong has dissociated into the distant sounds of traffic, mind scattered into discarded paper shreds floating through city smog. “It’s not that far-fetched of an idea, is it?”

“Hey,” Wooyoung says. His lips settle in between a smirk and an easygoing grin. Hongjoong’s stomach bounces somewhere onto the ground and out the door.

Time doesn’t freeze or slow down, as much as Hongjoong would like it to. He stalls for time all by himself and blinks at Wooyoung’s collar, wondering if the brooch will disappear on the third blink. Or tenth.

It doesn’t.

By god, Hongjoong screams on the inside. This cannot be happening to me.

(Hongjoong prepares for the worst when his friends set him up on a blind date. He is ridiculously unprepared for Jung Wooyoung.)

“I would make a good boyfriend,” Wooyoung declares in the middle of dinner, apropos of nothing.

While Hongjoong gets a huge kick out of antagonizing Wooyoung most days, he’s inclined to agree on this particular instance.

So he does. “Yeah. You’re right.”

Wooyoung blinks at him, full of judgment and something akin to disappointment. “You don’t get it.”

(In which Wooyoung attempts to walk the fine line between shameless and demure, and finds that an unwitting Hongjoong won't let him have either.)

❅ sanhwa

Going into a rut while he’s stuck in a laundromat in the middle of a fucking thunderstorm was really the kind of shit that only happened to Choi San.

San's got a chip on his shoulder a mile wide, a reckless disposition, and the need to redeem himself. Seonghwa's just along for the ride.

(Or: An already dangerous undercover mission spirals out of control in a hurry and in turn brings closely guarded secrets, both old and new, to the surface. What happens when you say and do something you can't take back? Seonghwa's about to find out...)

❅ hongsan

“The Sergeant is here again,” Jisun says. “Do you want me to do as usual and tell him you’re not in?”

Hongjoong’s chest twists.

“Yes, thank you,” Hongjoong says. “Invite him in for a meal or a drink if he pleases.”

“He does not please, but I’ll give him the option regardless,” Jisun says silkily.

(If Hongjoong keeps this up long enough, San will stop visiting and asking for him. All things, good or bad, eventually come to an end.)

❅ hongsang

In this lifetime, Vampire Kang Yeosang has been living life as an idol. He took pity on a Fallen Angel, Wooyoung, and joined him in his quest to live life masquerading as a human.

He's seen humans do some stupid things, but not once did he think that three of the humans he's grown fond of would make a pact with a demon in exchange for otherworldly stage presence and the ability to command an audience.

  • .. and not once did he think he would fall in love with one of those humans, Kim Hongjoong.

❅ jonghwa

He’s familiar with the ghosts that inhabit his apartment now. There are a few who come in and out, regulars going about their day without a care for him. Even when he gets bored and watches the middle aged man in his bedroom dance badly to no music, they’ve never noticed him back.

Until Seonghwa, that is.
