Minhyuk falls very ill and it's up to Shownu and the others to take care of him.

Hyungwon has a cold, but the members warm his heart with all their love.

You know those small moments with your friends that they've probably completely forgotten, but you can't seem to let go of? Yeah. Changkyun has lots of those.

Each Chapter is Changkyun x another member, with different themes

“They tried their best to bring him out of his shell, and as much success as they'd had in the past few years, he still wasn't quite the energetic and bratty maknae that most other groups had. Except more and more, Shownu was realizing just how lucky they were to have someone like Changkyun.“

It's just an earache. Hyungwon can handle it.

Six occasions where Changkyun finds somewhere safe to sleep.

Changkyun understood why he was ignored. He was a cheater - he cheated by entering the competition when he did, and not only that but he took the place of someone who deserved it more than him. So he understood why he was hated, but that didn't stop him from trying to get better because maybe then he would be accepted. What started out as a simple message soon turned into something far more serious than anyone thought. They could only pray that they aren't too late to reverse the damage already dealt to their youngest.

seven instances in which they like to hug their puppy-like maknae.

It had been a month and a half since No.Mercy ended, and honestly, Changkyun still felt like an outsider. He didn't expect this to change any time soon.

X

Changkyun kept staring at the rice on the table and the stray bits that had landed on his lap. If he spoke up, he got in trouble, and if he was quiet he would still get in trouble. Damned if he did, damned if he didn’t. Either way you looked at it, Changkyun was screwed.

In which Changkyun gets sick, ignores it, gets sicker after overworking himself, and the hyungs are protective and concerned.

❅ changkyun/kihyun

Across the club, at a small table, sits a boy in a pink sweater. A boy who calls himself 'bad luck'. What are the chances of 'bad luck' turning out to be 'extra luck'? What are the chances of life becoming just a little ultra?

Changkyun is cute. And bright. And supposedly a great lay, according to Hoseok. It makes Kihyun happy. Knowing that Hoseok has someone like that, in whatever context they have one another. Because Kihyun knows Hoseok deserves whatever joy he experiences. More than anyone in the world, Hoseok deserves it.

“Do you like him, Ki?” “I told you. No. I don’t like Hoseok,” Kihyun stammers, chugging the ice water. Letting the freezing cold hit his hard palate and shock his brain. “Not Hoseok. Changkyun.” “I can’t.” “I didn’t ask if you could. I asked if you do.”

When Changkyun mentions in an interview that Minhyuk and Kihyun talk to each other in their sleep, Kihyun has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. To prove himself right, Changkyun decides to record them all sleeping one night (without the others’ knowledge). What he catches turns out to be much more than he bargained for.

Inspired by an interview where I.M complained about Kihyun and Minhyuk talking to each other in their sleep.

Kihyun returns to school on a Wednesday towards the end of January, one and a half months after the night of the Winter Formal, which is the last time anyone saw him. Changkyun sits behind him in Calculus.

❅ hyungwon/hoseok

Wonho has been working for the Chae Family Syndicate from the time he was young. Following the death of Boss Chae’s nephew, he is reassigned to guard Hyungwon, the boss’s son. A notorious brat, Wonho isn't necessarily looking forward to the assignment. But loyalty to the family is loyalty to him, and so he will guard the man with his life.

Things are rarely so simple.

It's not even that long of a story that led Hyungwon to sharing his one-bed apartment with a vampire. Just so everybody knows, it's his mother's fault, and Minhyuk's stupid (brilliant, really) idea.

in which hoseok's in love with a boy he'd never met.

or alternatively, another trash soulmate AU that nobody asked for.

“No,” Jooheon said.

“It’s the only thing,” Hyungwon said.

“It is the only thing,” Jooheon said, “but no. No.”

“I think—”

“Don’t say it!”

“One of the members is writing fanfiction,” Hyungwon whispered.

Jooheon screamed quietly into his hands.

Hyungwon meets his new neighbour in the laundry room in the middle of the night.

Wonho: that’s his name. Wonho levitates up to the edge of the platform just in time for the train to billow past where he’d dropped over onto the tracks just moments before. The kid in his arms is small. Maybe four or five. Tan skin and tight black curls spilling into his face. He’s clearly knocked the fuck out.

Wonho finds the boy’s mom in the crowd, and she sobs restlessly until her son is placed in her arms. She drops to her knees with her kid limp in her lap, and Wonho stands in front of her, as if he’s nervous he didn’t do enough.

Superman/Spider-man/Never Been Kissed au

❅ hoseok/kihyun

Dear Hufflepuff,

your name is Hoseok, then. I know who you are. God.

“Shook” (as your folk say), Slytherin

Kihyun felt a trickle of sweat travel down his spine. “Begone,” he rasped at the creature. “I told you already that this doesn't work on us,” the man mumbled. He didn't sound sleepy – on the contrary, his voice was viscid with something too awake and present. Something like a pout. For fuck's sake. This one was a pouter.

“you slept with my roommate who is notorious for one night stands, and now im meant to tell you that the reason you woke up alone is because they had to get to an early class, and proceed to get your phone number and tell you that they’ll call in a few days before binning it as soon as you leave, but i never do that so hi, sorry my roommates a jackass. pancakes?” au

Kihyun and Wonho are best friends. But maybe it wouldn’t hurt to be something a little more too.

“I’ll keep you safe.”

“You have no obligation to do that.”

“You’re right, but I want to. I want you to smile again.”

Kihyun, careful with everything he did and diligent in studying; cute round glasses and bangs falling into his eyes. Hoseok, piercings and tattoos; college dropout with a motorbike. They’re complete opposites. But, they say opposites attract.

Shin Hoseok’s seven year old daughter really wants to marry her kindergarten teacher, because he’s the greatest.

When Kihyun's sister dropped her three year old son off on his doorstep, he would never have thought it would be the best thing to happened to him. But its three years later and Changkyun is the most important thing in his life. Then one day, they get a new neighbour with a full sleeve of uncoloured flowers and Changkyun is amazed. Honestly, so is Kihyun, though probably not for the same reason.

❅ hoseok/changkyun

Hoseok looks at him and thinks, “This kid will never make it.”

alternatively; a study in growth between Changkyun and Hoseok

“We can’t just let someone new into the house,” Changkyun whines from his spot on the couch.

Hyunwoo doesn’t even turn to look at him. “We’ve been through this,” he says, firmly. “He needs us, so we’re letting him in. It’s part of the vampire code.”

Or, the vampire au no one asked for but that I wrote anyway.

Hoseok becomes Changkyun's personal heater.

Friday nights were probably supposed to be more exciting than watching Netflix and chilling by himself. Too bad Changkyun can't quite figure out how to make friends. This whole "college" thing is a bit of a drag.

❅ hyunwoo/hoseok

"You're crushing me," Hoseok says with faux annoyance and a blush high in his cheeks.

Hyunwoo turns to him, then, and smiles. "I am."

Minhyuk is sick and that means Kihyun can’t get closer to him until he recovers, and both Hyunwoo and Hoseok know it won’t be easy to separate their kids.

‘you found me in a mall crying over a bowl of noodles i dropped and i s2g im not usually like this im just having a really weird week’ au (or, alternatively, where hoseok's life may or may not turn to shit in less than 7k)

❅ jooheon/changkyun

changkyun becomes fascinated by the candy maker that just opened up shop in his area and falls for his smile that's sweeter than any of the candy in his store.

❅ minhyuk/hyungwon

Look, Dodo would agree that to an extent, she may be petty. A little pettier than most people. She may have followed Minji to her theatre, analyzed her audition, then auditioned herself and stole her lead role - but look, in Dodo's defense, Minji stole her coffee. She had it coming.

At least, that's what Dodo keeps telling herself.

The story of your life is etched on your body till your skin is like a canvas – and for that reason Minhyuk never understands why he was born with a mark.

It’s by Hyungwon's own perception that he breaks these moments down into easily understandable chunks. It’s just so much simpler to ignore a single day than face that hidden reality that it’s not just a single day — it’s every day that he’s caring more and more for the man whose room is just down the hall to the right.

“Why do you want me to leave so badly?” Minhyuk asked.

“You make me wish I wasn’t dead anymore.”

In which Hyungwon, by some horrible stroke of bad luck, is assigned to the kissing booth for the school festival and he doesn't know what to do about the soccer captain who 'obviously' only comes over for a peck on the cheek because of a dare.

❅ minhyuk/kihyun

Minhyuk has a meltdown in the middle of a supermarket at the sheer number of milk powder choices, but luckily for him, Yoo Kihyun, coordinator of the Seorae Maeul Single Dads Club comes to his rescue.

Minhyuk really, really shouldn’t be here. It’s borderline stalking and he knows it - even as a superhero, as Spider-man, if Kihyun decided he’d had enough of this shit and tried to get a restraining order or something, he probably could. But Kihyun also has a horrible knack for getting into trouble, and, well. Minhyuk had decided that he would keep an eye on him and that was that. Protecting the citizens. That’s what it is. And he definitely doesn’t have a crush. No matter what Hyungwon says.

“Um.” Jooheon begins, “I’m like. Really sure that Valentine’s day isn’t supposed to be a competition.” “That’s exactly what he wants you to think,” Minhyuk says through gritted teeth as he furiously slathers “I ♡ KIHYUN” onto the gigantic cake in bright pink icing.

Or, Kihyun and Minhyuk get competitive about Valentine's day. Jooheon thinks they're both idiots.

The soulmate tattoo thing is all well and good - the first words your soulmate will speak to you are etched on your arm from birth, and it made finding true love easier, supposedly.

It gets a little bit difficult when the tattoo says, in inky black letters, “shut the fuck up.” It gets even more difficult when your name happens to be Lee Minhyuk.

Minhyuk

If you’re reading this, it means that I didn’t magically gain better judgement at the last second and give the housesitting job to Hoseok instead. Congrats, I guess. Anyway, here’s some of the basic stuff I want you to do while you’re here.

1- Please don’t let the dirty dishes pile up. Dishwashing soap is under the sink, it’s very obvious, please use it.

2- Tell Kihyun he’s an asshole

Or, Minhyuk house-sits for Hyungwon and becomes acquainted with his asshole neighbor.

Kihyun makes a wish on a shooting star, to see what his future holds. He doesn’t expect it to come true, but it does, and now he doesn’t know how to deal with the knowledge that he’s going to be engaged to Minhyuk in five years’ time.

❅ hyungwon/changkyun

"Instead of staring at maps and wondering where his soulmate might be, he imagines all the places he would like to visit instead. Sometimes he imagines meeting his soulmate there, under the sakura blossoms in Tokyo, next to a street food vendor in Beijing, on a bustling street in Seoul. He imagines a world outside of his little sleepy town of Gwangju and wonders why his soulmate would ever come back here instead."

When Changkyun finds out that Hoseok, his ex-friends with benefits, is in a new relationship, he panics and makes up a fake boyfriend of his own. A misunderstanding leads to Hoseok thinking said fake boyfriend is Chae Hyungwon, someone Changkyun knows through mutual friends but barely.

Changkyun decides to go along with it. Now he just needs to convince Hyungwon to do the same.

How to get your dream boy in three easy steps:

1- Spend time with him, get to know your man

2- Compliment him, show him that you're interested

3- Flirt with him, don't be subtle about your crush

If he doesn't show the slightest interest towards you after these steps then maybe he isn't the right one.

(Or, Hyungwon tries to get the attention of one Shin Hoseok, but instead he ends up falling in love with Changkyun.)

in which superhero hyungwon has a bit of a habit of getting caught in life or death situations and, for some reason, the villain with the deep voice is always there to, ironically, save the day (yellow)

Minhyuk summons a demon. Which is enough of a problem in itself, but it’s made even worse by the fact that — he doesn’t know how to send him back.

Hyungwon shouldn’t even be involved in this madness, except that Minhyuk is his roommate, and the demon named Changkyun is hard not to get attached to.

Hyungwon knows perfectly well that all the on-camera flirting they do doesn't mean anything.

Then he and Changkyun play Twister for a shoot and suddenly everything is different.

❅ kihyun/hyungwon

Hyungwon settles Jooheon with a blank stare and finally picks up his sandwich to finish eating. “I met the city superhero and you’re acting like it’s no big deal.”

“Technically you didn’t meet him. You dropped your phone, he picked it up, and then he went on his way,” Jooheon snorts. “It’s cool he helped you, but it’s...not a big deal. I bet he does stuff like that all the time for people.”

❅ hoseok/hyungwon/changkyun

"And so, Changkyun leaves Monbebe Ramen with a couple million won in debt and a new job. He sighs. He really just wanted something to eat."

In which Changkyun finds something special at Monbebe Ramen, the best ramenshop in town.
