"Sorry," the stranger says, smiling and leaning across the table. "Is this seat taken?"

Changbin has endured trials, but no trial could have prepared him for Han Jisung.

Changbin is a prince. Jisung is a servant. Changbin just wants to find the boy at the ball that he shares a soulmark with.

It's not that Jisung's mad at Changbin or even upset that he can't be with him for the holidays this year, not at all. He's proud of Changbin for working hard enough to be able to study abroad for his final year of college. The problem is that pride in his boyfriend's accomplishments doesn't stop him from feeling like he's missing something without Changbin by his side during the time of year where every radio station is playing cheesy music about curling up by the fire with the one you love.

-

Or, the one where Jisung tries to cope with spending the holidays alone and Changbin is a lovesick fool.

Jisung feels all too much, all at the same time, but Changbin is always there to hold him.

❅ minsung

Jisung truly doesn't mean to spend his Friday night holding someone else's sopping clothes in the laundry room of the dorm building while said someone else stares at him with an expression that's a mix of amusement, confusion, and pity.

But here he is, standing in the laundry room of the dorm building, holding the sopping wet clothes of a very amused college student who's valiantly giving his best effort not to straight-up laugh at Jisung.

-

Or, in which Jisung's dumb, sleep-deprived self accidentally steals Minho's clothes and then Minho shows up at Jisung's door with an impish grin and a needed favor and accidental feelings ensue.

It takes all of Minho to raise his head and turn away instead of locking his gaze on Jisung's lips. “Ask me yes-no questions about this person I like and make a guess from there.”

“So there is someone!” Jisung exclaims, pulling away from Minho.

Minho rolls his eyes. “Why did you keep asking who it is if you weren't even sure there was someone?”

“Well, if I ask who it is right away, I get two questions answered at once,” Jisung answers, looking proud of himself.

Minho chuckles, realizing Jisung does have a point. He gives the other a cheeky smile. “Fine. Ask away, then.”

or: Minho wonders if Jisung really has no idea, and considers that maybe it's time to move on.

part 2 of the little things series

His dad's girlfriend was sweet for wanting to help Minho find a boyfriend, going as far as roping her own daughter into bringing over a friend for him to connect with. She meant well, she did.

So maybe that’s why he said it. It was true that he didn’t have time for dating with graduation so soon, but he definitely didn’t have time to disappoint Dahyun, who patted the top of his dad’s head like they were teenagers, Dahyun who managed to place an uncharacteristic pink blush across his dad’s cheeks.

“I’m dating someone,” he’d said.

And without further question or doubt, Dahyun replied, “Oh, then bring him to scary movie night with you. If in the horror movie of our life we decide he dies later than your dad, I approve.”

_

Or, Minho needs a fake boyfriend for one night and Changbin has an idea.

Lee Minho, president of the student council, meets Han Jisung, known delinquent.

jisung gets glasses, and minho’s world falls apart.

(or christmas is coming soon, and suddenly nothing minho wanted to get the younger boy feels quite right.)

Jisung cleared his throat, a sudden feeling of embarrassment coming over him. He stared at the paper cup in his hands as he spoke. "So you're really nice and all, and your cocoa is amazing, but the whole lip thing— I can see you staring when I talk and I just wanted to say it's kind of uncom-"

"Uh sorry, strange question, but could you look up at me?" Minho suddenly asked. "I need to read your lips or else I can't really understand what you're saying."

aka Jisung asks barista Minho to stop staring at his lips, not realizing Minho is deaf, and kind of has to. Minho thinks Jisung's lips are pretty

The boy unzips his jacket, and Minho almost takes a step back instinctively — almost, because he's greeted with white fur and two wide, scared eyes. The boy has a kitten in there, soaked and shivering, but doubtlessly a kitten.

"Uhm," the boy says. "I kind of need your help."

Minho works at an animal shelter, and Jisung is just a guy who passes by everyday. They've never talked, or even met. Then, suddenly, because of a kitten and a late-night storm, they have.

“In my defense, I have a very bad resting bitch face and look like a corpse right now. I really can’t go to the doctor, they’d take one look at me and call the cops.”

Minho doesn't handle the cold very well. Jisung is an affectionate annoyance. Together they fend off some of the winter chill.

-

Or, the one where two sleepy boyfriends cuddle.

minho often compares his relationship with jisung to the unfortunate story of icarus and the sun. to minho, jisung was the sun.

or:

minho’s gay and stresses about it constantly, jisung finds out and can’t stop thinking about it.

Jisung hid his face in his hands and ran his fingers through his hair, stressed. He glanced back at Hyunjin, trying to force a calm look. “You know what? It’s fine. I can play this stupid bad boy role. I’ve punched someone before.”

Hyunjin blinked. “You punched me. And you cried afterwards.”

---

Alternatively, Jisung manages to get the reputation of a bad boy, and he's just a little in love with Lee Minho.

Minho was parties that went late into the morning and everything that shines and makes people feel something. Jisung was entirely the opposite. He was sweatpants and staying up late to work on songs and waking up a mess. Jisung had bags under his eyes and Minho had rings on his fingers and how he ever fit into Minho’s world, Jisung will never know.

Jisung breathed out a sigh of relief, leaning back against the wall. The exhaustion of the fight was beginning to catch up to him, along with the pain. He glanced at Minho. “I had it covered,” he said casually, looking away when Minho fixed him with a criticizing look.

“Is that why you’re bleeding?”

When Lee Minho saves Jisung from an unfortunate encounter with a rival gang, the two become hopelessly entangled as tensions between the two gangs rise.

Minho and Jisung have been best friends for years. It takes a two-hour bus ride, three days under the sun and a dream for all that to fall apart (in the best way possible).

“You’re staring again.”

Minho didn’t bother taking his eyes off of Jisung as he shrugged, no longer caring if he got caught. He been snapping his gaze away for months, every time Changbin pointed it out, but Minho decided a few days ago that it didn’t matter. Jisung was famous, he was used to people staring at him. Minho’s eyes wouldn’t make any difference.

“He never notices anyway,” Minho mumbled, his fingers closing around the compact he had been rooching through his makeup bag for. He pulled it out and finally returned his attention to Changbin, dusting the light powder across his friend’s pretty skin as Changbin frowned at him. “Don’t look at me like that.”

“Your crush on him, it’s not…” Changbin trailed off, searching for the right word as Minho grabbed an eyeshadow pallet and a small brush. “It’s not healthy.”

“I know,” Minho packed a dark shadow on the brush as Changbin closed his eyes, tilting his face upwards. Minho drew the shadow across his lash line, forcing himself to focus on the task at hand and not Jisung’s laughter as it echoed around the small waiting room. “He doesn’t even know my name.”

“What the hell?”

The figure jumped at Minho’s sleep heavy voice, the microwave offering just enough light for Minho to see him turn, but not enough to make out any of his features. A few seconds later brightness flooded the room and Minho groaned, his hands slapping up to cover his eyes as his blanket pooled around his waist.

“Turn the lights back off.”

The boy didn’t listen, “Were you sleeping here?”

Minho pulled his hands away to give the boy a proper glare, hoping his bedhead and swollen face wouldn’t weaken the effect. The boy didn’t seem fazed, just blinked at Minho, waiting for an answer.

“Yes, I was sleeping here,” Minho finally grumbled, dropping back down onto the couch and tugging the blanket up over his face. “Can’t you make popcorn in your own room?”

“Can’t you sleep in your own room?” the boy countered. Minho ignored him. “I don’t have a microwave anymore. There was a bit of a fire situation.”

“Jisungie?”

Jisung lifted his head from his cupped hand where, no, he had not been napping, and blinked at the boy in front of him.

“I didn’t know you worked here!” the boy gasped, obviously thrilled to see Jisung.

Jisung stared at him, his sleep deprived brain failing to put a name to the smiling face in front of him. But the boy clearly knew him, so Jisung did his best to lace familiarity into his voice as he answered, “Ah, yeah, I just switched shifts. I used to do afternoons.”

-

The more Jisung looked at him, the blanker his mind went. He couldn’t conjure a name and, if he was being honest, he didn’t even recognize his face. And he had a great face. Jisung was sure he would be able to remember a face like that, even when he was half dead.

Jisung can't stop ending up in detention, which is completely and utterly bland until Hogwarts's most notorious Slytherin shows up and won't stop calling him "squirrel face".

Jisung longs after his closest friend who does not reciprocate his feelings. Years go by without his crush on Minho waning, and after his attempt to move on from this hopeless affair fails, he throws one of his rings into a wishing well as a joke, asking for Minho to love him back. Much to Jisung's surprise, his wish may have been granted for a short while.

In which Jisung (and Minho) put their daughter to bed. ( AU )

Here is the thing: Minho broke Jisung's heart two months ago.

Here's another thing: Jisung's parents are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary – it's a celebration that's been a year in the making.

And here is the clincher: Minho and Jisung bought plane tickets together to South Korea, just for this event, when worthy frequent flyer deals had popped up six months ago, a good long while before their relationship had met it's untimely demise.

“I’m sorry he bit you.” Minho starts “Let me see.”

Jisung hesitantly holds out his arm where there’s a Band-Aid stuck on his forearm. Minho traces a finger over the fabric, smiling softly,

“Sorry.” He repeats. Jisung shrugs,

“It’s nothing.”

Minho laughs, shaking his head,

“Okay, now why are you really pouting?”

Jisung huffs, ducking his head a little. He looks up at Minho through his eyelashes, and Minho can’t help but think how pretty he looks like this; thick hair falling into his eyes, pink lips pressed into a pout, long eyelashes fluttering.

“You called Soonie baby. You never call me baby.”

"'I love dark', Changbin had said. It was true, it really was. In a way. Changbin liked dark atmospheres, dark lyrics, dark concepts. He liked dark clothes, dark music; he styled his rap to be dark. He loved dark. Except... not the actual thing."

OR

Changbin is scared of the dark (how ironic), but he's too embarrassed to let the others know.

in the end, felix does get the affection he's always wanted from changbin. just not under the circumstances he would have wanted.

People speak of staring at someone as if they were the sun is one of the most romantic way you could look at someone, but Changbin begs to differ. The barista is handsome. Almost blindingly so, Changbin just barely holding himself back from scrunching his face unattractively into a squint like how one would do while looking at the big obnoxious ball of hot gas burning in the sky, because no one wants that kind of fucked up glare being directed towards them. He has a hard-enough time making his expression looking approachable, he doesn’t want the barista thinking that he’s gonna rob the place.

"No,” was all Felix said, and Changbin could feel the impishness of the grin spreading across his face so vividly that he almost pitied Felix.

“No what?” he asked, voice lilting with feigned innocence. Felix’s increasing irritation was palpable, and Changbin found himself suppressing a chuckle.

“Don’t you dare touch me with that thing, Changbin, or I swear I’ll-“

“Inspiration waits for no one, Felix,” Changbin deadpanned, pulling a pen from the front pocket of his hoodie and giving it three menacing clicks.

Seo Changbin is tired. Really, really tired. He’s been a Certified Insomniac for almost two years now, and it’s been pretty fucking awful. On average, he gets two or three hours a night, maybe- and that’s a pretty decent night’s sleep in his opinion.

On nights like tonight, however, he gets no sleep at all.

“Um, I moved in across the hall.”

There's a hint of consciousness that arises in this male's voice, and Changbin notices the slight mispronunciation of his words. And for whatever reason, Changbin is still talking, “Yeah, I noticed when I tripped all over your boxes yesterday.”

Hyunjin sniffles loudly. Changbin doesn't know what to do. He awkwardly wrings his hands. Not a kid of his class. Can’t send him away. "Do you...perhaps...want a hug?"

"No, let's not commit me to that," Hyunjin hiccups, nose an angry red, "once I receive nice gestures I feel obliged to bake gratitude brownies in return of the favour."

"Don't bake gratitude brownies," Changbin immediately refutes, "I'm allergic to nice gestures. It'll be a waste of many things."

Love letters and high school romance, things Hyunjin never took that seriously and enjoyed frivolously, are turning out to be more complicated than he expected (and wanted) them to be.

i keep coming back to this fic i love it so much

Christmas miracles come in different forms.

For Jisung and Hyunjin, it came in the form of a turned down admiration, a boy with a broken heart, a combo of chicken nuggets and fries, and a rivalry turned to friendship.

Alternatively, Hyunjin and Jisung were rivals fighting for Changbin’s attention until one night at a party, said center of their affection chooses someone that’s neither the two of them. As they sulked together in the corner after being rejected, surprisingly, they formed a bond.

“Imagine if our past selves could see us now,” Jisung hums, stealing the thought right out of Hyunjin’s head, “Friends.” “I think past me would throw a fit.” “So exhausting,” Jisung says, “all that fighting. I just wanted your attention.” “Really?” Hyunjin asks, startled, “I thought you really hated me.” “Maybe at first,” Jisung says, “but after a while- I don’t know. I look back on it, and I think all I ever wanted was for you to notice me. Isn't that dumb?" No, Hyunjin thinks, no, it's not dumb at all.

or: stray kids take a vacation and hyunjin realizes that maybe he's been in love this whole time

“You think I don’t want to leave?” Jisung scoffed. His wings lifted him off the floor and he crossed his legs midair. “I’m stranded with you until you fall in love, Hyunjin, so get a move on and fall in love already!”

In which Jisung gets stuck with the toughest assignment to play matchmaker with yet: Hwang Hyunjin.

a MASTERPIECE

Jisung loves warm things. Coffee, his favourite hoodie, the stupid scarf Changbin dared him to buy that one time in April. He likes the way his fingers tingle when they're warming up over the space heater in his tiny apartment and cookies fresh out of the oven. In short, he loves feeling warm. Luckily for him, Hyunjin has warm sweaters, and even warmer hands.

Hyunjin's rent is upped in December, so he leases his spare room out to a total stranger. The extra money, he's prepared for- but the feelings? Not so much.

“Of course Hyunjin likes it,” Felix calls. “You’re the emo boy he’s always dreamed of.”

“I was his favourite,” Jisung whined dramatically. “You stole him away from me!”

“I’m sure I have a few fans that have swerved to your lane, too.”

“This is different,” the younger persisted.

hyunjin frowns. “why’s your fridge stocked with ben and jerry’s?”

jisung grins. “hey, don’t judge me. you get to eat tons of ice cream while crying over your heartbreak – and you get to destroy white supremacy, too!”

or the one where jisung, as the best friend of the heartbroken hyunjin, comes up with a foolproof, eight-step guide to getting over his ex (and tries not to fall in love with said best friend in the process).

— Hyunjin wraps himself in everything that is Jisung and it's seamless. So much like the vine that snakes around Hyunjin's wrist that Jisung avoids covering, the faded maple tree that crawls over the firm skin of his bicep, the setting sun in the dip of his thumb, so similar is the way they fit together: as if one was never without the other. Not perfect; always a little torn at the stitches because that's the way humans are: imperfect, malleable. Breakable. Still, Hyunjin can't imagine his skin without the ink pressed deep into it, and he can't imagine his heart without a home for Jisung carved out into its corners. No amount of brightening concealer or long-wear foundation can cover that kind of endlessness. Jisung would never try to cover it. Hyunjin would never let it be covered.

(Or: Hyunjin is a model who frequently shows up to shoots with new tattoos so his makeup artist, Jisung, has to spend more time covering them up. That was the prompt, anyway.)

Jisung shifts to face Hyunjin fully. His face is cast mostly in shadow by the barren branches overhead, blocking the glow of the city, but his eyes gleam warm and almost gentle in the dim light.

“Then tell me my future, Hyunjin,” he says.

❅ seungbin

all the while, changbin can only look straight and square into seungmin’s desperate eyes. but they share a common thought, something that is so bewildering and so unbelievable that changbin cannot believe his own mind - yang jeongin is alive. yang jeongin is alive - and seungmin brought him back to life.

“So it's just us?” Changbin asks, giving Seungmin a look of uncertainty. “Just the two of us?”

Seungmin shrugs again - he doesn't know what Changbin wants to hear from him. If he could back out of or postpone this trip he would have already done so.

“Only you and me,” Changbin keeps going. “On this drive.”

“Shut up,” Seungmin mumbles, shaking head and marching off to the passenger side of the car. “This is for Hyunjin.”

“For Hyunjin,” Changbin echoes as he slides into the driver's seat. “Right.”

Seungmin doesn't know how he's supposed to survive the next few days with just his ex-boyfriend as his company, in a cramped car at that, but as with most things - it is what it is, so he just has to figure out how to deal.

part 2 of the heartbeats accelerating series

Hyunjin is not here.

This is a dilemma. This is a serious dilemma. Hyunjin needs to be here. If Hyunjin is not here, that means Seungmin is alone and alone in public and alone in a cafe where he’s expected to buy something and in order to buy something he has to talk to people and he’s alone, in public, and also he’s going to cry.

(alternatively, Binnie Saves The Day)

Seungmin, absolutely plastered, lowers his mouth to Changbin's ear and shouts loud enough to be heard over the house music playing in the room: "HEY. DO YOU KNOW A GUY NAMED SEO CHANGBIN?"

Seungmin is frustrated. He had even been warned by Woojin: you're too sheltered for the outside world right now, your highness.

He refused to listen because Seungmin would like to think that despite growing up with golden opportunities served to him on multiple silver platters, he still has a pretty sensible head on his shoulders. If anything, he'd like to think that growing up privileged has made him more than painfully aware that people around him are seldom to be trusted. So he didn't listen, and pushed through with his haphazard plans – which really should have given him more pause, because he normally prefers plans to be clear and organized. But he wasn’t thinking like he normally does, and for once in his life, he followed instinct instead of logic.

Except all that trouble, and for what? Now he’s just frustrated because Woojin was right, he’s an idiot, and presently he has ended up on a ridiculous quest to obtain his most prized possession back – which he never would have lost if he had done what he usually does, and played his part as the good, sensible prince.

Alternatively; In which Seungmin tasks the thief who stole his most prized possession to accompany him in its retrieval.

“I don’t just let every boy who breaks their leg stay at my apartment. Especially if they get their cast removed and choose to continue staying,” Changbin says stupidly, because he might be a little in love with Seungmin.

The problem is, they're both utterly clueless.

“Hyunjin?” Seungmin’s voice is soft.

He takes off his sunglasses; now Hyunjin can see his eyes. Hyunjin has always liked Seungmin’s eyes, how sincere his gaze is.

Hyunjin is frozen. “Do you want a different server?”

And here, Seungmin’s mouth flattens into a frown. “No,” he snaps, harsh. “I’m a normal paying customer. Treat me the way you’d treat anyone else.”

“What? Why me?”

“Because you don’t believe in it. Also, I’m terrified. And I own this entire apartment and probably most of you as well.”

“Gee, thanks,” Seungmin mutters. He will admit that the whole thing feels much more real now, with the flickering candles and the dark room and the nervous excitement that is palpable and thick in the air. Even the tacky neon yellow glow of the Ouija board appears more sinister.

“Our class just started, and I still need to give you your snowboarding gear for today! And you know, I pride myself on using every last minute of these sessions teaching and honing skills, and today is no different. So let’s not waste any more time here!” Hyunjin said, clapping his hands together before placing his hand on Seungmin’s wrist and pulling him out of the building, with Seungmin being left utterly speechless, confused, and wanting to go back and read his book in peace.

A few minutes later, a young man came running from the elevator of the resort, huffing and puffing as he approached the front desk. “I’m so sorry, but I lost track of time and got late to my snowboarding lesson—is there any chance the instructor is still here? I was supposed to meet him in the reading nook—” Woojin, on the other hand, stared at him with wide eyes as he glanced between the male and the front sliding doors.

“Hold on. If you’re Jeongin, then… who did Hyunjin just pull out of the building?”

And every year, without fail, there he would find a pretty, blue seashell waiting for him—a gift he holds more valuable than any amount of gold his kingdom could ever possess.

❅ 2min

Metaphorical bridges, Seungmin once thought, were only supposed to be crossed. Enter Minho, who tells Seungmin he should know that bridges can be built and burnt, too.

or: Seungmin meets Minho at an animal shelter, and they learn a thing or two about bridges, friendship, and love.

"I want a bunny."

And Jisung stares. Just stares.

Minho swears he has a perfectly logical explanation.

(In which witnessing Seungmin play with the bunnies on set puts Minho in a dilemma.)

Felix glances down at the court, up at Seungmin, and back down. "Is he waving at you right now?"

Still staring right back at the very smiley, very cheerful boy below, Seungmin squints and knits his brows as he shakes his head.

"No. He is most definitely not waving at me."

Kim Seungmin spends his childhood with a strange boy who saves cats stuck in trees and gives him a future.

❅ woochan

Woojin was a hunter, and Chan was a vampire. Despite this, they managed to have fairly pleasent conversations as they fought to the death. Everyone sort of accepted that Chan was Woojin's vampire, and that Woojin was Chan's hunter. No one tried to break up that dynamic.

Until the other hunters came into town. Ruthless, powerful and bloodthirsty, they kill any and every vampire they come across - even the peaceful ones.

Woojin opens his door one evening to find Chan, sobbing and bleeding. To stop what could possibly be the biggest eradication of vampires in history, a vamp and a hunter were going to have to work together.

Chan, beaten down and tired, is forced to go to therapy by his mother, all while balancing his college classes and his career as a musician.

Alternatively: unloading what's been making you ache for years is much more comforting when someone's there to help you carry the weight.

Chan, Changbin, and Jisung find out they're getting new next-door neighbors, Kim Woojin and Kim Seungmin. The kids become fast friends, but Chan and Woojin keep having one endearingly awkward interaction after another.

Alternatively, Woojin sings outside on his balcony sometimes, but he swears someone else is singing back.

The cafe is a safe haven. At least, it was. Until Chan walked in on the fourth night in a row and saw a Very Beautiful Man standing at the register and almost choked on his own spit, accidentally concerning the Beautiful Man, probably because it looked like he was about to fall over on the spot. Which, to be fair, he was.

(insomnia is a bitch and woojin happens to work somewhere that sells coffee.)

Bang Chan hasn't slept in three days. Nobody notices except for Kim Woojin.

(hopelessly soft and fluffy woochan)

"Get off me fatass. Your bony butt hurts."

"That's counterintuitive to what you just said," Hyunjin said, "I can't be a fatass and have a bony butt, that's not how the body works."

"Well that's what I just said, are you saying I'm a liar?" Minho said as he sat up.

At this point, Felix had fully climbed onto Chan's back and had rested his full weight on him. He adjusted so he was sitting straight up and crooned, 'He ain't calling you a truther!'

Alternately, a slice of life of Stray Kids being kids.

“Are you saying that because you’re tired and sweaty and my shoulder is comfortable?” “Definitely.” Chan laughed under his breath. “All the more reason to go so we can relax. There’s only a couple of hours before sunset and I need to get there before then.” Woojin gave him a suspicious glance. “Sunset? Are you going to turn into an ogre if we get there too late? Because we’ve lived together for a while now so this is news to me.” The curly-haired man nods solemnly. “Yes, my ‘Prince Charming’ potion runs out today. At sunset, precisely.”

Chan takes Woojin on a trip to Sydney with the intent to propose to him, but what he doesn't know is that Woojin may or may not have caught on.

One-shot.

Chan likes sleeping, he really does, but sometimes Woojin's ways of getting him to sleep are worth staying up for.

Woojin finally manages to get an exhausted Chan to bed meanwhile the rest of Stray Kids try to figure out who poured beans into Changbin's shoes.

In the darkness, there lurks a beast. When you least expect it, it shall attack.

"Breathtaking," he murmured under his breath, not even aware that he said it out loud, only realizing it when Woojin replied with a quiet it is.

(Honestly, it's a little bit ironic how he assumed Chan was talking about the rain and not himself.)

Woojin falls for Chan over late nights in a long winter - but it's not quite that simple when there's his soulmate Chris to consider.

Or, in the wise words of Kim Seungmin, Woojin is a flailing boy. But maybe Chan's enough to ground him.

❅ minchan

Chan gets touch starved.

came back to this fic when i could not go back home during finals season and i guess i was a little touch starved too

Chan knew all of Minho’s six smiles; one when he finds something funny, one when he’s daydreaming, one mirroring his satisfaction with something, one forced out of politeness, one the aftermath of a heartwarming moment, and one when he talks about his family, friends, and things he cherishes.

Little did he know that Minho had a seventh smile—and if Chan pays enough attention, he would eventually realize.

-----------------

Alternatively, Chan always admires all of Minho’s smiles but always misses the most important one.

Minho's new coworker was scary. At least, at first he was. who knew he'd end up becoming the person to bring security back to Minho's life?

Chan has a drawer for Minho. A secret compartment at the back of his closet. You'll only find it if you know what you're looking for. But if you know what's good for you - you won't go poking holes in Chan's closet, in fear of finding something worse than a skeleton.

❅ hyunin

Hyunjin’s always been a little touchy with the stray kids members but one thing remains constant and true, like the ebb and flow of the tide or the world spinning round on its axis. Jeongin is, and always will be Hyunjin’s favourite.

or, in less words: hyunjin is constantly touchy and jeongin can’t handle it

“yeah, sure, whatever. can someone hit up the group chat and let the hyungs know?” it’s almost a relief, knowing that he’s not gonna be left alone with the love of his life.

it takes him a second to realize that’s what he addressed hyunjin as in his head. when he catches it, he stumbles, and the aforementioned boy grabs him quickly. jeongin can’t even look at him, his cheeks flushed.

or, jeongin is in love with his straight best friend.

Hyunjin picked up the stack of flyers and began shuffling through them, finally stopping at one with a sudden smile on his face. It was a fond sort of smile, one usually reserved for cute things like puppies; Seungmin was sure there was no club for that since dogs weren’t allowed on campus. Maybe it was dance? But he was already in his own team. The other boy presented the flyer with a flourish as Seungmin began to read the words.

He read it silently once, twice, before loudly exclaiming:

“What the fuck is the Betta Fish Society?!”

Or, the one where Hyunjin’s whipped and joins a school club just for Jeongin.

❅ chansung

“I may or may not have walked into a lamp post."

So maybe Chris is kind of cute.

And maybe Jisung is a little bit stressed.

❅ chanjin

“It’s not like you’re going to get too distracted by work to not notice him leaving.”

❅ chanlix

Once upon a time. That's how it always begins.

over the course of one summer, cabin leaders felix and chan hate each other, set things on fire, start an anti-hipster campaign, and initiate the greatest prank war that camp yellow wood has ever seen.

camp aus remind me of an exo fic i love that has been taken down and also of my camp which was really fun! so i already love this even before reading but this was even better than expected

When the world has fallen to some sort of strange plant-like virus that takes over the body like a fungus, not much it worth living for... That is if you are alone.

Lee Felix hadn't been alone long in this world, but it was already taking a toll on the poor boy. He was getting far too skinny for his own good and all the silence was starting to get to him. Felix just wanted to find his family again.

Bang Chan, leader of a small survival group of eight, leads weekly raids to the city to get supplies for his group with his two best friends, but on their latest raid, he runs into one of the prettiest faces he's ever seen, even if they won't utter a word to him.

Two worlds colide beautifully, both lonely and lost, but soon found once again.

Finally Home...

“The student shares appropriate and relevant information, he is an active listener and important member of group discussions.” Silence falls over them as they continue walking side by side. That is, until Chan realizes where they're heading. “Felix, are you trying to get me into the dorm?”

❅ seungsung i find it so funny that almost all my skz spiderman!au fic recs are seungsung

“Ha ha ha,” Seungmin says dripping with sarcasm. “We all know I wouldn’t want to audition with Han Jisung even if we were the last two people on earth.”

Or Seungmin missed his audition for the school play but so did his long-time rival and self-proclaimed arch-nemesis, Han Jisung. Good news for them, there's a make-up audition in three weeks' time. The catch? It has to be a duet piece.

Jisung thinks failing math might possibly be the worst thing that has ever happened to him. Enter Kim Seungmin, who proves him wrong in more ways than one.

They stare at each other for a few long moments.

“You’re Spiderman?” Jisung says lowly, his voice deepened by sleep and something else Seungmin can’t quite put a finger on.

Seungmin nods jerkily. “Yeah.”

Jisung can admit that he gets easily infatuated, but he's proud to say that he gets over it as quickly as it comes—three days tops. He likes to think of it as a pretty great feat, because as most people say: cops can't date, even if they wanted to.

Then Seungmin transfers into their precinct.

Four months later, Jisung still hasn't gotten out of the rabbit hole he fell into.

this is b99 inspired so i automatically love it. also the author is the first author to have ever replied to my comment so this fic is extra special :')

Han Jisung is a pretty cool guy. And when you’re full to the brim with swag like Jisung, not a lot of things can throw you off-kilter. This, however, is a perfectly good reason to be thrown off-kilter.

This being the fact that his roommate of merely a month is allegedly his guardian angel. Allegedly, because Jisung still seems to think it’s a joke.

(or: Han Jisung discovers guardian angels are very much real, and Kim Seungmin is proof enough.)

jisung saves his crush from quite literally being crushed by a car and in the process discovers their mutual feelings

or

spiderhan vs. his annoying AI

Some facts about 3racha, superhero trio of District 9:

- CB97 can manipulate water and is more useful than a whole team of firefighters when it comes to burning buildings; Bang Chan is probably dehydrated from the amount of coffee and instant ramen he consumes.

- SpearB can control shadows and is pretty much seen as a lord of darkness by the press; Seo Changbin lost any rights to call himself dark maybe five cutesy acts ago.

- J.One can teleport, and his power is mistaken for flight due to how he manages to be everywhere at once; Han Jisung just wishes he could somehow distance himself from the crush he still holds from sophomore year.

i dont know why i havent listed this yet!!! reread this masterpiece and literally was about to sleep but i decided to check if i have listed this fic and imagine the horror when i realised i didnt... unacceptable... am a sucker for superhero!aus and this was written so beautifully...

Jisung is affectionate. Always hugging and cuddling people as if his day wouldn't be complete unless he does so. It's really nothing new.

Seungmin just wasn't prepared when the hugs and cuddles started including kisses.

For one thing, he has liked Jisung for a while now.

❅ seungchan

Seungmin meets a boy at his favorite cafe, and it only gets better from there.

There's a cold, dark look in his eyes that is frighteningly unfamiliar, making dread simmer at the bottom of Seungmin's stomach.

"Prince Seungmin, your treasonous attempt on my life was an act of war, and as such, you are now a prisoner, and I will be treating you as such. Changbin, escort him to my chambers, and tie him to my bed."

It's deathly silent as Seungmin, Changbin and Minho all absorb his words, staring at him in utter shock and disbelief as the implication sets in.

"Y-your majesty." Minho finally croaks out, neck splotchy and red. "He's… he's your brother."

❅ jilix

“Wait, wait, don’t we need like, an apple or something?”

Felix raises an eyebrow. “Why the fuck would we need an apple?”

“Uh, according to Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap, we need an apple.”

Felix blinks, once, twice, and stands up to get an apple from the kitchen.

tldr; Felix pierces Jisung's ears.

It takes Jisung a while to realise he wants to kiss Felix, not kill him.

Naturally, his first response is panic.

part 2 of no rest for the wicked series

absolutely incredible... i love this so much

❅ jeongsung/sungin

“Innie!” Jisung protested, finally out of the brunette’s grip. “This isn’t what it looks like!”

Completely unfazed, Minho gave his cheek another peck and pointed upwards, “mistletoe!”

Or: All he wanted was to get Jeongin's attention, but of course, Jisung had to make things harder for himself and everybody else around him.

❅ minbin

"How have you been, hyung? Dating anyone?”

Minho shook his head.

“Changed that leaky faucet in the guest bedroom?”

Minho shook his head.

“Used your vacation days at work?”

Minho shook his head.

“What the fuck, Lee Minho, what have you been doing these past five years?”

“Enjoying this city without you in it, mostly.”

Minho stared.

Changbin stared.

The waitress silently sat down their main dishes, warily looking between them.

Minho’s first piece of meat went into Changbin’s bowl, and the small, ensuing grin said ‘thank you’ when neither of them wanted to break their silly stand-off first.

So much had changed that Minho didn’t say—a joke always more tempting than the truth—but what remained constant only became clear to him now. Minho had spent the last five years undeniably bored.

--

Or, Minho's best friend's little brother returns home to Korea after 5 years abroad, and everything he thought he knew--about Changbin, about himself--changes.

“Should we do this one-on-one? Focus on the opening for tonight? Jisung needs the least amount of work. Felix you help him. Hyunjin, you go with Chan. I’ll take Changbin.”

“Are you saying I need the most amount of work?” Changbin asked as Minho approached him. Irritation clouded his common sense which yelled 'these guys are helping you' and 'you don’t even know him.'

“Yes,” Minho replied plainly, and Changbin’s common sense hid behind his ego.

"You’re aware there’s no way I’m going to look as good as you do by this time next week?”

“Are you calling me good looking?” Minho asked. He smirked, but when Changbin did nothing but glare at him, he blinked hard and seemed to reset his focus. “You’re going to improve. Trust me. I’ll even make sure you’re the most improved. Hyung will compliment you the most.”

Changbin grumbled a quick “we'll see” before getting into his starting position.

Or, 3racha gets backup dancers for their upcoming tour, and Seo Changbin is paired with one enigmatic Lee Minho.

Changbin stands there, mind racing a mile a minute with only one thought: Minho.

Minho who is looking at him expectantly and Changbin forces himself to choke out, “Prom? You want to go to prom with me?” Fuck. Real fucking smooth.

Minho pouts. “Is that a no? I don't really know how these promposal things work.”

“And who is this?” Changbin’s mother smiles at Minho, and Minho returns it easily.

“I’m Minho.” He answers, “Changbin’s roommate.”

Mrs Seo looks puzzled for a moment, and Changbin can see the gears turning in her head, before he watches her eyes flicker down to their clasped hands, followed by her smile getting even wider. Oh shit.

“Minho? Lee Minho?” She clasps her hands together excitedly, and Changbin wants to die
