skysyo supremacy...... skysyo forever
five times sukai changes syoya's mind and the one time syoya changes his.
living and breathing together comes easy as rain for syoya and sukai. they've been together since day one, after all, just days after syoya had received the fateful call announcing that he'd been chosen to be just one of a hundred-and-one trainees given a chance to reach for their dreams, as he had been for so long, long enough that his arms were starting to ache. but here it was- his golden ticket, a step in the right direction, a sign that /oh, i guess it's a good thing i never gave up, after all./
he called tarou a little after, making sure that he was the second person to know after his mother. the aggressive cheer that erupted at the end of the line was so loud that syoya wasn't sure his phone would emerge of their conversation unscathed. they laughed, talked about everything that was to come, and syoya realized.. even if nothing happens, even if he ends up coming home in a month, things are still going to change.
"tarou?" he said into the phone, after a comfortable silence (they're best friends, after all.)
"hm? what is it?"
syoya smiled, gritting so hard his jaw started to hurt. the tears that welled up in his eyes threatened to fall at any moment now, but syoya wasn't going to let them, not while tarou was here. "nothing. nevermind. just... thank you."
he leaves for south korea a week later.

there's a knock on his door, a quiet 'can i come in?'
sukai knows that voice anywhere, like the back of his hand, so he straightens up from where he's sat (at the foot of his bed, on a floor cushion, facing his tv and the small walkway that leads to his bathroom & the entrance to his room. he clears his throat, smooths down the front of his shirt, and says 'yeah,' just loud enough for syoya to hear him through the door.
they never keep their rooms locked, so members coming in and out are the norm. it's the norm, so this is totally normal. it's normal...
except it's not, because sukai can already feel the sweat form at the nape of his neck as soon as he sees syoya, fresh out of the bath, a towel draped casually around his neck, in an all-black pajama shorts ensemble, step into his room, leave his house slippers at the door, and casually flop onto sukai's half-made bed.
he lets out a long sigh,
