• Playschool:
    • Sister Nuncie
      • A sweet, quiet nun with a squeaky voice and a love of children. Rode a bicycle around town, and never gave out to us. Would give us a medal that she had blessed if we were welcoming a new brother or sister, and visited us in primary school regularly with sweets and kind words.

    • Mrs. Morissey (Junior Infants)
      • All I can remember about her is that she took my Polly Pocket one day, and therefore I did not like her. Bad form that.
    • Rose (Senior Infants)
      • She had a surname, but we never used it, ...

  • My grandmother, Kitty, told Theresa this story on the evening of our debs. Theresa was wearing a green dress, and Kitty remarked that she had never worn green. Of course Theresa asked why, and this is what she was told.
    • When my great-grandmother was pregnant with her third child, Kitty was five. She bought her a green dress to be worn on the day the baby was born. On that day, my grandmother's youngest sister Molly was born. But her mother and Molly's twin were lost. My grandmother never wore the green dress, and said that she would never wear anything green for the rest of her life. She never has.

  • Pink Floyd - Pulse (1994)
    • My all-time favourite. I was three years old when they played Earls Court. Only wish it could have happened again. It never will now that Rick Wright is gone. Sometimes I wish I was old!
  • Peter Gabriel - Secret World (1994)
    • Grew up watching this constantly. Enchanted by PG, wanted to be Paula. Steam and Shaking the Tree are faves.

  • My grandpa. He and my granny Kitty had come down to Waterford and were staying with my great-aunt and uncle, Molly and Cyril. We went up to see them a couple of times. The day before my grandpa died, I was asked to go in and tell him that dinner was ready. I remember having to repeat it five or six times, and come closer and closer each time. At the time, I thought it was odd, and new. That evening was the last time I saw him. I have a picture in my mind of seeing the ambulance driving away from Molly and Cyril's the next morning when he had a heart attack, but I can't be sure I actually saw it.
